Bought one last week for $68. Using all the ports at the same time without issue. Running 2x 1080p @165hz and the laptop display with ease.

    • How does it go if you plug in 4 external 2.5" portable hard drives? I find most adapters struggle with enough power and drop out.

  • Can it do dual 2k and 1080p at 60hz?

    • Yes it will

The promotional code is not valid

    • Sorry, fixed now.

  • Yeah, same?

Does the HooToo work with Google TV?

    • Also rep it seems that the HooToo is a 6-in-1

    • +1

      Yes it will

      • Thanks Xev. Ordered.

  • Do you have more basic 4K 60hz hubs coming?

    • +1

Yes, but it will be a bit later this year

  • Hey XEV,

Can you request another deal for the TaoTronics LED Desk Lamps DL16.

    • I will ask the Rep & see what can be done.

Will this adapter drive dual 2560x1440 screens at 60 Hz on Windows as extended screens?
    Thanks

    • It can do at least 1 at 4k 60hz which would be the same as 2 4k 30hz monitors which would also make it work with 2 1440p 60hz monitors

This work on iPad Air 4th gen well?

I think the seller is brave and I am cynical about the review feedback. Based on the item description, this thing can do 4K/60Hz on 1 HDMI, while offering USB 3.0 ports, USB 2.0 ports, gigabit ethernet port, card reader and USB-C with PD. With dual displays, it's 2x4K@30Hz. Thing is, that requires Thunderbolt 3 bandwidth to achieve. Most dongles in this class at this price point don't do that, they are at best 10Gbps (full duplex) and after alt-mode is applied for 4K/60Hz (~20Gbps half duplex / single direction), there is very little, if any, bandwidth left.

Most dongles in this class, when using 4K/60Hz, the USB 3.0 ports or anything requiring USB 3.0 bandwidth are unavailable, leaving just USB 2.0 ports. USB-C/PD (power delivery) passthrough is possible.

    A review feedback:

It is a great one with dual 4K HDMI ports, and good for my new MacBook air

If this is for M1, this dongle manages to do dual external displays (that means 3 total displays including MBA)? Really? How? One HDMI port supports DisplayLink?

    • It comes with a total of 2.5-year warranty. If there are any problems just contact their friendly staff and they will sort it out for you.

      • You put this in the title: 2x HDMI 4K@60hz

In case you haven't noticed, I suggest you change that (or at least mention in duplicate mode - however, I am cynical about it).

          rep is ignoring us :/

    • It's likely using Displayport 1.4. it will also requires monitor and PC that support it.

See note at the end of this article:
      https://www.bigmessowires.com/2019/05/19/explaining-4k-60hz-…

  • 1x4k 60hz or 2x4k 30hz

    • Allegedly… Though OP would stretch that it is mentioned in that duplicate mode, it 'allegedly' does 2x4K@60Hz. Then, if you read through the description and Q&A, the USB reader appears to be USB 2.0 based and only 1 slot can be used at a time.

      • Can it do 2 x HD with all ports available USB-3 etc on USB-C interface (ie. windows lappy)?

  • Thanks OP. Had been looking for an adapter and the deal has come at a good time. Trying the HooToo one. :)

  • There was a 20% off voucher last week with a few set of earbuds, this seems like a good hub thou

  • 2 external monitors for M1 Mac with the VAVA? Can anyone confirm?

    • +1

Official specs claim you "could" do that with duplicate mode - so the screens display the same thing. I am not sure how you do it on a Mac and frankly I don't even want to bother finding out how to do it (just don't find that an appealing usage pattern).

We know with M1, you only get 1 native external monitor out via USB-C/USB 4. If you want another one via USB-C, it has to be done via DisplayLink. Mac Mini M1 is kinda an exception since it has an HDMI port (so you could use that + 1 external from USB-C).

      • I'll probably test out to confirm in when mine arrives tmr.

  • The last time I tried a dual display hub (different brand though) on my lenovo S540 it would only work with the dual QHD displays as mirrored displays, not extended.
Hopefully this model will allow for two extended screens. This model certainly costs more.

    • You probably need a proper dock from Dell, HP or Lenovo etc, shame they are all at least $200..

      • I am beginning to think this also. The wavlink universal dock with PD works well but uses DisplayLink, and is also more expensive/large.

  • the code for AVA doesn't seem to work.

  • Coupon code not valid anymore on HooToo.

  • Code is not valid?

    • This is the message "The promotional code you entered is not valid"

  • @Xev OP are you able to extend this offer?

    • i am looking to get one as well.

      • I think these will be on sale on Prime day. I have bought HooToo one yesterday as it went on sale again.

  • The dual display model works with dual QHD at 60Hz extended displays in windows 10.
It also works with Samsung DeX bud only at FHD resolution.

  • Hi rep any more deals coming up for the 11 in `1 hub. lookign to get one.

  • This is my second VAVA USB-C hub and am generally happy with them but unfortunately it does not work for 4k @ 60hz with my SB2 and Dell S2721QS.

  • Just received mine today, the unit is quality built and works really well with my dual monitors and other accessories.

  • @xev the link doesn't work, is it deal still available?

  • Can't seem to see any of the VAVA stuff available on Amazon anymore
