This sounds crazy cheap. Any gotchas?

    • Friendly Service from CHOETECH

Jokes. It’s a great deal considering 20W adapter itself costs more than this deal.

The catch is it charges iPhone 12 at 7.5W.

      • Yeah it isnt actually MagSafe so charges at a lower rate
Mind you still perfectly fine for overnight or just parked on your desk

        • +1

It's actually better for the battery, and would be the perfect choice for overnight :)

      • I thought magsafe allow it to charge @15W? if not then the description on their website is misleading then?

        • I tried finding some official specs but only got to the Wiki page, which says 'MagSafe is a proprietary magnetically-attached wireless power transfer and accessory-attachment standard used originally on the Mac series of notebooks since 2006. The new version was introduced by Apple Inc. on 13 October 2020, in conjunction with the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro series. It provides up to 15 W of power and is backwards-compatible with the open Qi standard for up to 7.5 W of power.'

So maybe there aren't any firm rules in terms of wireless charging speed? They can probably get away with it since it has magnets.

Even at the current ~$20 it's not bad value for a 20W USB-C charger and 15W wireless charge pad.

  • Thanks. Got one. I have another choetech wireless charger from amazon and no issues so far. Good value

  • No AU plug?

    • Also, can vouch for Choetech quality. IMO, close to Belkin level. Haven't had any of their cables or chargers fail on me.

    • I think the AU plug version is sold out now.

      • Buy the US plug and if you are nifty with the nose plier s easy to turn the US plug to AU plug shape.

  • yes.
    no au plug

  • apple only? some sorta apple tech?

No AU plug…is the charging pad and USB cable worth the price by itself?

Promo code 20OFF for additional 20% off

    • Damn just ordered without the code!

      • Doesn't work for this product anyway

        • -4

          It certainly does!

          • @Slave1: looks like you need to order at least two, says not valid for me when I order just one

          • -1

@Slave1: Maybe it did for you but I just ordered and for me it said ‘Code not valid for item in cart.’

            • -1

@outofgamut: It looks like the code's been made invalid. I tried a few mins before I commented and only had one in my cart and the code was applied.

              Thanks for the negs btw.

    Wireless charger does 15W max

  • does this ship from china warehouse ?

    • Said local, 7 business days delivery.

  • +1

Won’t ship to Victoria? Is it just me?

    • Does the same for NSW

    • getting the same error :(

  • +1

Is it out of stock? I am receiving error "This order can’t be shipped to your location. Contact the store for more information."

    • Because of out of stock, I bought the EU plug, came with AU plug. I guess others will also get the AU plug

  • “We don’t deliver to New South Wales”

  • AU plug back in stock with higher price. U$14.99 or ~A$19.37 shipped. Still a very attractive price given the 20w charger itself is around the same price.

  • This one is roughly $9.20 AUD: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001989628802.html?spm=a2…
I bought it at full price (about $15) a while back and it works perfectly. Does not come with the power adapter though.
