How many days until we see a post where someone complains this isn't honoured because "Oh thats a special deal and we don't match special deals". Or are you committing to beat even the special, short term deals?

    • +4

      Zero :)

Special deals, short term deals, upsized deals, bonus deals - all eligible!

      • +2

So; with the current special offer on socialgood of 100% cashback for sites like ebay.com.au at the moment; you are going to going to offer 110% cashback?

        • If a competitor is offering 100% cash* back then yes it will be beaten.

          *cash = fiat currency

          • +2

@swooped: Oh phew. Was waiting for it "has to be our fiat currency (AUD)".

Socialgood is good then, their cashback is calculated in USD at the time of purchase.

Well, you get my upvote then. GJ OP.

Not for me I don't think.
Cashrewards is great for customer service.
Sure, the cashback doesn't track 100% of the time, but I've never had an issue disputing it. A couple of times the vendor has flat out refused it, but cashrewards paid out.
Considering customer service generally sucks, why risk good customer service for a "potential" extra 10%.

Too much effort. Why not just beat your competitors by 10% to begin with and you’ll do well with us

No signup bonus or referral bonus?

    • Ahh, this is the correct Ozbargain response! :-)

    OK,

This system seems flawed. SocialGood for example offer 100% cashback on ebay.com.au purchases at the moment: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/621315 [they dropped to 4% recently, its back up to 100%].

If I make a purchase on ebay.com.au are cashback junkies seriously going to offer 110% cashback on the ebay purchases up to a value of $500USD per transaction after I take a screenshot of competitors cashback offering?

I just don't see the value proposition for cashback junkies? There are already loss leading cashback schemes, why would you throw 10% on top of that?

      They wont.
Socialgood is offering Crypto. So it wont apply as this is only an offer for fiat currency.

      • Read the fine print with SG; you aren't paid in SG. You are not allowed to "withdraw" or "transfer" the SG; you are never granted any SG to trade. You need to go out of the SG platform to trade SG coins (buy or sell).

If I buy something using Social Good, I actually cannot get any SG crypto through their app; need to cash out (USD) and then can buy SG on exchanges etc.

You are provided USD to the token value of the SG at the time of purchase. Your "cashback" can only be withdrawn in USD, not SG. I get the "brief" from them is you are receiving SG; but you aren't. Your payout for any transaction is fiat currency only; as indicated in their app under guaranteed value.

In their "app" they represent your cashback as a SG value; but again; you dont hold that SG. The only holdings they offer are USD.

This +10% cashback beating is only until 14/6/2021? Kinda pointless to run it for such a short period, isn't it?
