BigW is starting a clearance sale from the 9th of this month and have the lexar 8GB usb for $8.48. Looking from an earlier post http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/60224 it looks like this USB is not a head turner when speed matters but its decent for the price.

  i discourage everyone to use this one, got 1 of these and it's terribly slow, worst than my sandisk

  I got the 16Gb stick for $16.70 when it was on sale at BigW. Speed wise it's no barnstormer: 15Mb/s read, 5Mb/s write.

  I can't see how this being "clearance price" when it's only 25cents cheaper than when they had it on sale for $8.74???

    As a Woolworths employee, ive put signage up for items on special for a 1c saving, it gets to the point atleast at store level where you no longer flinch when the powers that be dig deep into the coffers
