What whitewashed bu11sh1t. The only ones being (considerably) more screwed over than the farmers are the cows and their kids.

      Are you okay?

      • +4

I'm okay. Many dairy famers ain't. The cows and their kids ain't.

        • +3

I know farmers are doing it tough but that's not a very nice way to refer to someone's wife

  • +6

prolly get rid of it and getting the mice relief bottles ready

  • +1

    Draught relief ??

  • NSW only

But then draught relief with and half price quite hard to understand

  • +5

Woolies should (silently) sell this at its normal price, and given the 50% back to the farmers.

    • +2

If you want to support farmers, why even buy that milk in the first place?

  • +1

Seeing the comments, milk has now become the new caged eggs posts. 😬

Wait till you hear about bread ¯_(ツ)_/¯

      • You dropped your pocket.

        • You know, you are right. They started making clothes with pockets.

  • +5

Should bring back the $1/L milk. Drought is over.

    • +1

Should bring back the $1/L milk while still paying farmers the same amount

But of course that won't happen because supermarkets are essentially a duopoly and thus they can do whatever they like, other will follow and they'll both increase their profit margins.

      • +1

"and thus they can do whatever they like".

Yes, it happens when everyone minds their own business. Human society can exist if they work together as capitalism for sure doesn't care what happens with the world.

        Just the same old story.

  • +1

Should not buy such milk from supermarkets, they are essentially giving a kick to the guts of the farmers who feed the nation.

  • +1

Nature designed cows milk for baby cows to stack on massive weight and grow quickly. Humans modified cows to produce massive udders and milk volumes, and then brutally torture the veal calf to maintain production. Marketing men then conned you into believing this stuff was healthy for your kids. Rivers were then plundered to convert vast amounts of water inefficiently into milk whilst methane belched from the factory farms into the atmosphere.

As scomo would say. How good is milk lol. But as this us ozbargain, nothing else matters but the price ………

In fact pastured cattle emit more greenhouse gases than those fed grain in concentrated lots.

This douchebaggy industry cuts all ways, guided only by the dollar and lapped up by the brainwashed masses.

  • full cream maybe. i see discount like this from time to time reduced price in iga and small independent supermarkets as well, while skim, light stay same

  • Should change the name to Flood Relief Milk.

We had record floods this year and the dams were overflowing.
