  • so many oral b electric toothbrushes on sale, anyone know main differences or what to go for?

    • +1

As far as I know this is one of the most ozbargain favourite ones.

    • +1

Mainly the lithium ion battery in these

    • +1

This one has everything you need (lithium ion battery, 3d oscillation, pressure sensor, timer). Paying more gets you Bluetooth for connecting to an app, but this is not something I would use

  • used this one for couple months, no even close to sonicares in my opinion

    • Can you elaborate why you think so?

Curious because I was going to buy these until your Sonicare comment

      • +1

I'm assuming this brush uses a circular motion - IIRC Sonicare instead uses vibrations which I believe my dentist said is more effective at cleaning hard to reach areas of gums/teeth (professionals can correct me on that if wrong). I haven't used a circular brush but can vouch for Sonicare - my dentist recommended it due to my gum issues, since using it I have gone back for one check up and for the first time ever there was virtually nothing to nitpick given how effective the brushing is.

FYI I purchased the Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 5100 model on Black Friday for ~$100 or so

  • Good for travel as it comes with a case. Recently bought this for $79 on Amazon. Does what it needs to. Found the charging to be weird though. Just keeps flashing even though it should be fully charged. Still works well though. I only use it for travel, which is for a week at a time, so no idea on longterm issues.

  • Thanks OP! Bought the Blue one which is still available at $59. Just that it does not have the travel case.

  • Got the blue one too. Don't really need the travel case and this price is more than enough to pull the trigger.
