I use this router in a maslow cnc machine that runs for hours at a time. Very durable unit.

    • Ive been toying with the idea of getting one of the Maslows for over a year. How do you find the CNC overall? Pros / Cons?

      • +1

I enjoyed the whole process. Its definitely a diy project from building the frame, hacking the router and calibrating. Ive got the accuracy pretty down pat but this can be a really issue for some. Also is very slow compared to table top cnc machines. If you have time and like tinkering the maslow is a great way to dip your toes in both cnc and computer design.

        • Thanks for the feedback. Ive ordered the Bosch from this deal. Is there much modification needed?

Was about to jump on this but realised it doesn't have or support a 1/2" collet. Never had a router, not sure how common 6mm / 8mm bits are, but 1/4" and 1/2" are the frequently mentioned sizes and 1/2" seems to be the standard for a mid-duty plunge router..

    • Agree, though it comes with 3 different collets: "supplied with 6mm, 8mm and 1.25" collet." Does anyone know what a 1.25" collet is?

      • +1

Think it's a typo. Should be 0.25" collet. The manual indicates 6mm, 8mm and 1/4 inch collets.

        • 8mm is a weird size. I think the Aldi ones had it.

    • The Ryobi 240V one for $149 has 1/4" and 1/2' colett.

If yousearch for "ryobi" on gumtree you get heaps of tools people are wanting to sell.

Thanks, ordered one. It turns out about the same price as an Ozito from Bunnings.

From the name i thought it was to do with home connectivity and from the small thumbnail i thought it was a cute robot haha lol.

I thought some company had made a cool looking small robot for a network router and thought wow that is pretty cool.

Oh i am so weird and odd.
