FYI These are huge in size .

    • +1

They are indeed larger than the standard powerboards.

I've used them without issue, and don't mind the size. The 2m lead was also ideal length for the run I needed.

shows $39 with $5 voucher for me

edit: ah! at check out. cool

    • same

      • add it to cart first, then the extra 25% will come off

  • Not for me :-(

Thanks OP! Finally found something to buy to make use of the 15% shopback offer!

Bought two of the 4 outlets. Had to do it in separate transactions to get the $24.25 price.

    • The shop back rep said in another thread that the $5 promotional credit will cause this not to track for that 15% cash back :(

But the $5 credit works out cheaper anyway and don’t need to wait 3 months to allow withdrawal.

      • They just find any excuses to invalidate

    Wish they've individual switches

    • Ahh that's what I'm looking for!

    • do you know of a good one/reliable brand which has that? I'm after that too, but there's so many out there I don't know where to start

      • I want to know also. All reputatable brands seems to have one/no switch.

I just use Crest/Jackson boards bought from Coles/Woolies which has individual switches up to 6 outlets.

  • Do these have a mounting option? Wouldn't mind attaching to the bottom of a standing desk.

  • Been waiting for this! I've been buying the Cyber something boards that gets posted on here a lot and I'm happy to finally replace them.

  • amazing price
    great powerboards
very solid and big and make me feel safe

    Surfboard sized but good price

on the topic… when the sockets on the cheapo ones becomes loose, what do you guys do with it ? can we somehow fix it or better go to the bin due to safety hazard ?

    • -1

Nothing that a couple of paddle pop sticks, chewing gum and the right episode of MacGyver can't fix…

      • +1

please uncle dont play games with live some people here may take it seriously and causing a house fire

I like to think it's what Darwin would have wanted…

To say nothing of the "Punctuationists For Fun & Profit Society" and the "League of Extraordinary Anti-Thread Jackers".

stick a screw driver in it to adjust the pin

  • Thanks OP, bought one. BTW, Camel says it was $20 (Jan 01 last year) - what a steal.

The reviews say the usb charging is underpowered, can anyone comment if that is true ?

    • +3

Review is correct. I use the old school Apple USB charging bricks, which charge much faster.

  • I cant add to cart

  • +1

OOS i think.. wouldnt let me add it to my basket… D=

  • I had a one of these, but found that the connectors never kept plugs firmly secure. Plenty of wobble on the heavier plugs but it could have just been the unit I bought. However I much prefer powerboard plugs that are recessed into the board a little, especially for mounting under a desk. I just didn't trust this Belkin model for that purpose.

  • +1

Wow, 4 Outlet OOS already, got the 8 Outlet instead, why not for an extra tenner.

  • +2

I remember I bought the 8 outlet one for $20 on ebay @ end of 2019

  • +1

I have two of the 8 outlet ones and they both keep tripping our main safety switch. Anyone else have that issue?!

    • +2

You are overloading the circuit on the breaker, that's why the safety witch is activating.

      • +1

Each of the devices (6 on one and 5 on the other) is switched off first and only on standby power so far from overloaded.

        • +2

Then you have a short somewhere.

          • +1

@garetz: It only happens when I switch off the switch on the power board. The same devices have been plugged into other power boards with no problem. If it was a short then it seems strange that it happens with separate devices in different rooms on different Belkin power boards.

            • +1

@Oceadge: Well there is the problem, the switch on the power board is not isolating all the devices on the board, there is your short. It only shorts when you press the switch turning the board off. Looks faulty, get a replacement.

              • +1

                @garetz: Thanks.
Seems strange that my two Belkin power boards purchased separately have the same issue.

                • +1

@Oceadge: Also you should consider load, when you switch a board on and off it can lead to all the devices getting a full surge of power causing an overvolt, i would connect one device at a time, and see if you still have the same problem. Until it starts happening again.

A toaster for example and a Hairdryer on at the same time can trip a safety switch.

                  • +1

                    @garetz: Thanks :-)

                    • +2

@Oceadge: The power surge function could be saving your devices from being fried, the board could be doing exactly what it was intended to do.

    • are you plugging in 8 washing machines with this.

      • 8 crypto miner rigs

      • Ha, ha.
Just a TV, game consoles and a light but all switched off first.

      • +1

        Tv : 1
        Sound system needs 4 : woofer, 2 speaker , 1 bar

        Led light in tv unit

        Diffuser

        And one for laptop

        Needed 8

  • cant believe the whole amazon doesnt have any other decent deal/price/quality of power board?? just his one gone in an hour as well

  • The 6 port was sold out but now back in stock.

  • -2

8 port out of stock. I needed one…

  • Picked up one of these. Happy to see it was a bargain 😉

  • +1

    the 4 outlet is huge
i have another exaclty same looking one from belkin but is 1/3 smaller
they must have cleared the old larger model

    • Yep, needlessly so. The 6 and 8 port units have even greater wastes of space. Comparable models from other manufacturers are half the size.

The unit performed fine, but the sheer bulk of it saw me retire my six port board.
