Why would you pay for a grocery list app?

mygrocery.com.au is free, has the weekly Coles/Woolies specials, works on multiple platforms (being web based)
doesn't take up any room on your device and I'll say it again free!!!

    • Valid point, hadn't heard of mygroceries before, looks ok but still missing a few features I like from OOM.

The selective list sharing and real time sync is great when I help the missus and we can see what each other has already grabbed as we go.

Used to use OurGroceries, and while the real time sync worked well, overall it is still missing some nice OOM features and is not as well polished..

Anyway, each to their own, at least you didn't neg the deal just because it doesn't suit your preferences ;)

  • Dude it's a check list app….not a list of food for the week

    • Dude they're all just checklist apps….
i have my mygroceries for bunnings, etc & one for the actual groceries with the missus, which we check off in realtime (amazing when you pop into the shops on the way home only to realise the missus had the same thought & cleaned out the list & maybe added choccies that she forgot. A list is a list

I bought it, it's only $2.49. While there's lots of free apps of the sort out there, I like the interface of Out of Milk and how it syncs to its website (so I can update my list on my phone or computer). The best part is how I can "share" the list with my partner and know in real time what has been bought.

I sent a suggestion to the app developer that it would be good if the pantry list had the option to put in the expiration date of foods and I got a reply the next morning. So pretty responsive dev team at least.

    • LOL, thats actually quite a good idea… see what is about to expire so you can use it, we constantly throw out expired food!
