Greetings everyone, TGG have dropped the prices on this bulb by 25%, and this can be combined with the current 5% off promotion for eBay plus members.

Free delivery on all of these devices for eBay Plus Members also, or C&C is available too.

As this is available on eBay, could also stack with discounted gift cards, or change up the coupons for better discounts:

  • e.g $10 off with AFTERPAY10, or:
  • $5 off $50 spend via eBay App using PAPPSS2.

Prices before 5% coupon are also available on their main website too for anyone looking to price match.

Note, for those that don't have eBay Plus, you could price beat the discount prices at Bunnings or Officeworks also.

As always, enjoy!

I might have to take the plunge after Catch cancelled my order of smart plugs for $5 😞

Has anyone had any luck finding smart switches that can be used on a 5Ghz wifi signal?

    • +1

      Why would you want that?

      • no luck on getting a 2.4 on the router

        • +2

Can't connect to 2.4Ghz? Check if you're running n only mode.

        • I have had heaps of issues with this but I found a solution. I got a 2.4 only router, cloned the normal wifi name and password on to it and then set it up using this router. Once done I reinstated my normal router and it worked fine (I am guessing the switches only need the password input and then its ok). I did have a second issue but that involves a Telstra DUMB modem gen 2 that gets a hardware fault on firmware upgrade and looses the 2.4ghz transmission - this can only be fixed by spending several hours on the phone and eventually getting a new modem sent out (I am up to my 3rd one)

      Latest Apple Watch does.

  • Are these Tuya based?

    • Yeah… wondering this too.

    • +4

No - proprietary Tp-Link Kasa App.
Although they work with Home Assistant (local direct access) just fine.

      • +2

That's how I use them too.

You just need the kasa app to connect them to wifi then home assistant can integrate with them, no need to connect to the tplink cloud.

They're also a much more compact plug then the ones on the recent "bargains", they won't interfere with a neighbour on a double GPO.

Also you can use them with this third party software if you want better reporting, and live energy draw stats

  • missing out the amazon deal with 15% shopback.

    • yeah

pack coming up as $28.71 if you pay by CC with code PDLK5

    • +2

Is that for first time CC payments only?

      • +1

Oh apologies I think you are right. I'd not used a CC before this order

    Screw you Bing Lee.
    Bought a pair from TGG.

The Officeworks Super Duper version even has a HDMI port:
"It connects wirelessly and has an HDMI port."
    https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/tp-link-sl…
…It would be fun and/or painful to ring their customer service tech support and request assistance on how to plug your Washing machine or Fridge into the HDMI port.

bing lee/catch cancelled all the orders, using stock as an excuse, yet they still had stock available if you pay more money.

    • +1

0 stock for price error. They cannot admit their own mistakes :(

      • Or it was deliberate during prime event

  • Today's the last day of of KP-115 smart switch special. Bunnings is price-matching ie $22.46, very handy as Good Guys in Hobart still has no stock.

  • Ordered a twin pack received today by Aus Post 1 single unit.
    Not impressed……
