Applecare+ Question - Alternative Payments?

Hi,

I'm looking to purchase AppleCare+. I believe it costs $199 for 24months. I wanted to know if the apple cards that generally go on sale at Coles, Woolworths, Officeworks etc, is capable of paying for this?

I assume I would load the card onto my account and then purchase AppleCare+ via store app?

Thanks for your help in advance!

  • I don't believe so. The cards on sale are iTunes. This would require Apple Pay, for which you can't use iTunes credit.

    • That's only true if you want to pay for the 2 years up front. You can pay with iTunes credit for the monthly plan. This actually works out better (if paying with discounted cards) as you can continue past the 2 years, as long as you don't cancel.

  • Not really useful if you already purchased the devices, but I used Suncorp JB Hi-Fi gift cards to purchase an Apple Watch with Apple Care included in transaction. 5% saving.
