eBay Deals Too Good to Be True

Ah eBay, you remain a place of wonder… and a trap for all bargain hunters.

Have seen this one just a few minutes ago

It gave me a pause for 30sec, before I figured it was half the store price, and being posted by seller with 1 feedback and account started in 2021. On top of that - no returns policy. Cool…

It is a shame eBay does not allow reporting of obviously fraudulent auctions.

What other too good-to-be-true deals have you guys seen lately?

  • But 14 people have already purchased.

When the pricing is so odd like $xxx.29 it should be alarm for a scam or overseas product.

    Possibly a hacked account.

  • Stinks of a dodgy/fraud listing.

Always plenty of listings like this on eBay. Search airpods pro for another example.

    They do.

    Lol @ the feedback

    Sent to wrong address

    Yes, that's because they're scamming…

Why would you give positive feedback if you never received it?

      • They probably bought or sold something else.

It might one of the other addresses linked to the buyer's account.

As well as my home, I've had ebay purchases delivered to my workplace and my relatives' homes. If my purchase went to one of those wrong addresses, it would be inconvenient, but I would eventually get it.

Note that the feedback is for a trolling motor, not a coffee machine and six months old. This is probably a hacked account.

  • "report item"

    The end.

  • But they have a rating of 1?
    Should be okay, not.

    15 sold now.

It's gone now.. what was it?

    • Coffee machine.
