Glorious Padded Keyboard Wrist Rest Compact $19 (Was $35) + Shipping @ PC Case Gear

170

I was looking for a wrist rest for my 60% keyboard and came across this deal. The dimensions are 30cm x 10 cm with a thickness of 25mm. This would go well with the Ducky One 2 Mini deal posted earlier. If you're looking to save a few extra dollars, I found that you can purchase this on their ebay store through cashback apps and pay using ebay gift cards which you can get cashback from also. • Plus the delivery I think better get the HyperX Wrist Rest, I have this very comforable.

    • This is full sized, not suitable for a 60% keyboard. Not comparable unless you like a huge overhang of your wrist rest I guess?

Anyone know any decent ones for TKL (tenkeyless) keyboards? Got the Logitech G Pro X keyboard and I be needin a wrist rest.

    • I copped a wooden one from Alibaba which isn't too bad. Want to upgrade since its been a few years.

    • I thought about going through the trouble to get a suitable hand rest for a TKL keyboard hence I bought a Corsair Wireless K63 which comes with its own wrist rest.

    • Yes, I have the same keyboard and use the appropriate sized model of this wrist rest.

    • I was on the fence for SO long trying to get a nice wrist rest for my TKL. Finally decided to go for Glorious despite the higher cost on an eBay sale.

Have NOT regretted one bit. Love it to death. It's super comfy and plush. The only issue I have with it is that my wrist leaves like dust marks onto it, not sure how to get it out. Some have said to use damp cloth but I can't bear to try it coz I don't wanna spoil this amazing wrist rest.

      • Yeah I have the same problem with marks actually.

      • Yeah okay, thanks! And you don’t find that it moves around too much? Wasn’t sure how it would go being not connected and all?

        • I have my keyboard and mouse and wrist rest on a large extended mouse pad so it doesn't move at all. However, it also has a rubber base itself so it shouldn't move.

but yes, if anyone has a solution for the wrist rest marks, would be keen to know!

Get this. I was recommended this by another ozb user and I'm glad I listened. It's much smoother and firmer (holds its shape forever) and very comfortable.

      • Thanks! I’ll have a look. I’ve been trying to find a decent one for ages.

      • Looks good! Low stock it seems though. Will this fit my Razer huntsman mini though?

Seems weird that PCCG charges so much for shipping when their sales volume should entitle them to real cheap shipping rates with Auspost

      • -3

        why's it weird?

        they are a business
and their primary purpose is PROFIT.

        • +7

and their primary purpose is PROFIT

Are you saying PCCG make a profit from the shipping fee? That's a bit dishonest…

          • @brotherfranciz: this business sends huge volume daily..
so their shipping cost should be much lower

and if people are saying the shipping is a ripoff compared to what it would cost us to send it
            then what's the logical conclusion?

      • +1

Can confirm, used to work in their warehouse picking/packing. The amount of orders that go through that place is ridiculous, they have always charged for postage though, cant get with the times i guess

        • +4

The strange thing is they charge way more than it would actually cost them to ship it and always have.

It would cost you and I $9.15 to send this item through Australia Post but with their volume it would cost them a fraction of that yet they still charge almost double. Turns me off buying from them all the time.

Though they seem to be getting more and more exclusive items lately with is annoying.

          • @groook: I own a business and can confirm pccg would get 16-40% off AusPost shipping cost depending on their volume.

They are definitely making profit from $16 postage.

      • They've been doing this since I placed my first order with PCCG in like 2001/2002, in fact the pricing is a little cheaper now than it used to be. Clearly hasn't affected their business all that much.

        • +1

          This.

PCCG don't compete on price (although their product pricing does seem to have gotten somewhat more competitive over the years). They've been doing very well for many years based on service, product selection and branding/authority.

To be honest, this is why I only tend to buy from them when I'm getting multiple products. If I only need one thing I'll generally get it from whoever has the best price. But when building a system, PCCG generally has all the parts I need in stock (often not the case with others), and I have trust in their service and warranty process if things go wrong (you can't say that about MSY).

    • +2

PCCG have always had ripoff shipping costs

  • +4

I just use a flat piece of wood from bunnings

    • +1

Lol did you get it shaped or something?

      • Guessing he also cooks pizza on it

  • I thought wrist tests were bad for ergonomics and hand strain?

  • What happened to store pick-up?

  • $35 again. Missed out.

  • Anyone else recommend a 35cm long wrist rest for a TKL keyboard? I have a low profile keyboard so not looking for super high support like a full mechanical keyboard
