How's the dark choc couverture compared to callebaut?

Also the email subscribe pop up is too bloody much.. Really discouraged me from browsing the site

    • first time i heard about Callebaut
      thank you for sharing

      • Callebaut is what good cafe shops and bakery use for their expensive Belgian hot chocolate and Belgian chocolate cakes. e.g. Max Brenner, San Churros, Oliver Brown all use callebaut for their hot chocolate and their chocolate drizzle/topping
It is really good and the price is competitive, unlike Valrhona which is almost double the price.

The price of the 2.5kg couverture is pretty similar with this D'Anvers one. I just bought 250g of milk and dark of D'Anvers and will report back. Unfortunately it is 64% dark vs 70% of callebaut that we like. But still excited to try

  • Was treated to some of their truffles by a parent who came back from Tasmania recently. I'd highly recommend them, they were amazing.

  • Marshmellows are a treat..only made during winter months..shop only

  • Never heard of them till this post. Bought some of op's recommendations. Pity they're located in Latrobe. Would've driven down had it not been so far.

  • Thank you again. Please email me at [email protected]
