Laptop Advice for Animation Please - Budget $1500

I'm thinking of getting my daughter a laptop for her 18th birthday at the end of the year so she can study animation at uni next year.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to get for under $1500?

Also should I purchase now with the current sales or hold out until later in the year?

No problem

I bought one for $1550 as I was able to buy a great deal through a friend’s company…

If you do decide on buying it, start looking now and hopefully you can get a good deal for yourself…

As someone who works at a design school, I would wait until she actually gets into the course (unless she already got accepted), then go to course information sessions so you know what minimum specs are required for the laptop.
