Uniwiper Vs Wipertech - Which One?

Evening OzBargain,

I'm in the market for a new pair of wipers for my ~6 month old car due to the factory ones not really cutting it for mud/dirty water when off roading.

I've come across Uniwiper and Wipertech but can't seem to tell much of a difference and the reviews for both are almost suspiciously too good. Maybe I'm just cynical.

In any case, I'm wondering which you picked for your car and what your experience has been with them?

For what it's worth, Uniwiper have my model in stock whereas Wipertech currently do not (new 2021 model). Thanks!

    Third option: Michelin ones from Costco. They work really well including for mud drives.

    Just try them. They are wipers. Under true muddy off road conditions not much is going to last long so you’ll get a chance to try something new again soon.

      I get they're just wipers, but at roughly $60-$70 a pair, I'd rather hear some first hand user reviews on them before I buy.

      I'm also not going 4WDing every weekend, I just noticed it last week that the factory ones weren't clearing the screen too well.

        Oh. You’ve got those stupid new design that don’t take an old wiper insert. What a massive improvement that is … not.

        Got those stupid things on wife’s car. Think I’ll get some of the older style from thwbwreckers instead.

          Yeah I agree, definitely not a fan of this new wiper design!

    I’ve bought the wipertech ones before on recommendation from a mate

    For ~$70 they aren’t worth it. I bought a random set off ebay for the missus car for <$30 and they work just as well.

    The eBay ones had the same simple connector and design as the wipertech ones.

    Just buy Bosch wipers and save yourself any disappointment.

    I rate the Wipertech, had them on 3 cars so far and no complaints at all. About to order another set actually…
    We do have Bosch on the wife's car though as that's what our workshop wanted to fit at the time. No issues there either. Price wise, the Bosch were more than what I generally pay for Wipertech's.

    Definitely WiperTech. I had a horrible experience with UniWiper. Received faulty product, they sent replacement that didn't fit, told me to just cut it. I was sick of dealign with them, so I asked to return. They said they can't accept a return of a broken product. IT ARRIVED BROKEN!!!

    I previously bought uniwiper. Wasnt expensive and seems to do the job well! I have no comparisons though
