Did I Brick My Keyboard?

Has anyone been able to recover ducky one 2 SF after messing up the firmware installation?

I bought my first 65% from this deal and got it this morning. everything was working fine, I felt a bit tedious to change the light setting, so installed new firmware thinking it's gonna be the configuration software.

then, I opened up the executable, hold "D" and plugged the keyboard in, and got the didn't succeed message.

so far, I've tried, changing ports, admin access, restarting pc, checked with another pc

My other keyboard is working fine and if I try to update firmware the ok button on the firmware updater is greyed out.

TLDR: Ducky One 2 SF not working after unsuccessful firmware installation.

If you don't feel you've intentionally done anything wrong, just RMA it for a replacement/repair/refund.

    • Next thread coming from seller, buyer bricked a keyboard and now asking for return and refund. What is the cause of action.

    • I have already sent pccasegear an email but really don't want to go through all the emails and back to forth hassles.

Did you load the correct firmware for your device?

Did you follow each step in the correct order as below?

    • Which words you included related to the steps?

    • Most likely yes but how do I know if I followed the right steps?

  • You probably have a better chance finding a solution on reddit than here…

    • I've wasted my all day trying to figure it out, no luck so far.

      • Try posting what you've posted in r/duckykeyboards

There will be more people with experience with your specific keyboard there.

Good luck. I have experienced similar pain as you with may technological things taking an entire day (or longer) to solve.

        • Thanks, maybe I should've believed in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" saying.

Thanks for contacting OzTechSupport instead of your item's retailer or supplier.

Someone may or may not come along to assist you. Please continue to hold.

  • Doing a firmware update is a normal thing for q consumer to do now. Good luck with pccasegear warranty though. I found that they would generally proxy it through to the OEM on my two occasions and I would have to nag them for response.
