Thought I'd separate from PS4 deal I posted earlier. Seems cheap, $40 off RRP.

Agree, don't understand why they don't just add keyboard and mouse support considering it's also on PC.

Also worth noting this is included on gamepass and is unlikely to leave any time soon given the developers are now owned by Microsoft.

I didn't really have any aiming issues on XB1, but I was primarily stealth focused and wouldn't have been on any extreme difficulty… So maybe I didn't notice as much

My main issue on the xb1s model was the looooooong ass loading times

just because you're crap with a controller doesn't mean its impossible to play this game with a controller… i finished it with a controller no problem at all

      • +5

I also finished it without any controller issues. From memory the game also has very powerful Melee weapons if aiming is such a problem.

A fantastic game in my view.

Same here, PS4. With time dilation, I don't see how anyone could have problems lining up a shot.

This game was overrated af. I'm glad I only paid $5 for game pass as I had to force myself to finish it.

    • +3

Agree, it get's super stale after about 2 hours of play. You're just doing the same thing in different areas against the same NPCs. And I found I became super OP by the end of the game so there wasn't any challenge. And the story isn't that interesting. And it probably isn't long enough or developed enough for this sort of game. I was super excited for it because it was Obsidian, but probably one of the biggest disappointments I've played.

I just finished my playthough on PC. Game is much shorter and smaller than I had expected. I'm guessing the developers were pushing for multiple playthroughs and encouraging players explore the different choices but it still feels quite limited. As you've noted there's isn't a whole lot of variety in enemies, even weapons there isn't a whole lot of options.
It's decent enough imo, for $10 I'd say it's worth it (or just subscribe to the game pass). I know some people were expecting something like New Vegas in space because it was being made by Obsidian, I went in knowing it wasn't going to be anything of that calibre so wasn't disappointed.
I'm considering a second playthrough allying with the corporations

        • +1

That's fair, I think I was definitely going in thinking of a New Vegas in space.

Part of my disappointed is probably because I bought it full price when it came out.

        • +1

It just felt like a DLC rather than a full game. I'd be annoyed if I'd paid for it (got it on sub) but I fully agree with your $10 appraisal.

    • +5

Why didn't you just leave it and stop playing? Why force yourself to finish a game you don't like?

  • +7

Good game, played it on gamepass but cheap if you don't want to pay the ~$15 a month.

Didn't have any issues aiming on the console 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • +10

Enjoyed the game, no issues aiming on console, well worth $10

    • +2

Agreed. Had no issues with aiming or load times on my xb1. Had fun dialogue, real character building and varied quests with multiple approaches. Could do with more enemy variety and environments but that's prob the sequel.

Genuinely don't understand the negative comments for this game, I'm currently having a blast playing it on Game Pass. Well worth $10 if you enjoy similar Bethesda titles. Had zero issues with the aiming.

With that said, it does feel a bit like Fallout lite, but I'm still undecided if that's a good or bad thing. It's missing all the small details, like everything being an item that you can pickup. But it's clear that they spent that time instead improving on things that actually mattered, like dialogue and story.

    It's not perfect, but it's a solid 8/10.

Played it on PC Game Pass when it came out:
    - pretty linear but well written
    - enjoyable characters
    - finished it in about 17 hours on hard.

Overall I'd say you'll get more than 10 bucks of entertainment out of it but don't expect the depth and choices you get in the big name big budget RPGs.

Final Fantasy VII remake is $19 at amazon :)

Good game, definitely can recommend on Gamepass

Still personally prefer Bethesda's level design/music/atmosphere, but Obsidian will always outperform them where dialogue and roleplay is concerned

    • +2

Now that Microsoft own both of them, I would kill for a Fallout New Vegas 2 with world building by Bethesda and story and design by Obsidian

      • Just so long as neither are responsible for the bug fixes and beta testing.

Great game, I got into it after watching this

Personally not a fan of this. Combat becomes trivial pretty quickly, and the stories and characters are not of fallout standard (and certainly not of FONV standard).

Dunno about aiming with a controller, I found it fine.

  • +1

Awesome game well worth it, can't wait for the second game.

  • Fallout in space but not as good.
