Please help me find a compact/portable blender

Hi, I’m trying to get out of the habit of not eating breakfast before work. So I thought smoothies would be a good alternative. My kitchen isn’t huge so I can’t have an appliance that has 20 accessories. I’ve been on Google and came across the Blendjet but the reviews are mixed. Something that holds 500mls or a little less would be ok. I haven’t made smoothies at home and would be grateful for any recipes :) and recommendations for any to buy. Coles only have stick blender. That might take too long in the mornings. Thank you

Skip breakfast, have a late lunch, avoid carbs and fructose.

      OP says

I’m trying to get out of the habit of not eating breakfast before work

      So you suggest

      Skip breakfast

You seem to be suggesting some sort of weight loss strategy. A likely unsustainable and potentially harmful one. OP hasn’t said anything about wanting to lose weight or wanting diet advice in their post.

Thanks, my BMI is perfect and I don’t need to lose weight. I’m just trying to be healthier.

    • Hi, mainly fruit or fruit and vegetables. I’ll probably need to add a little liquid as well.

I have the Breville Boss to Go https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/breville-boss-to-go-bpb550bal…

I paid less than this for it though and mine came with a seed/nut grinder as well.

You’ll need something powerful like this if you want to include things like carrot, beetroot, celery with enough liquid. This one doesn’t do ice. It’s super loud so not recommended for early mornings when others are still asleep.

If you just want to do fruit other than pineapple you can get something less powerful and cheaper. NutriBullets are popular too, but bear in mind they have different wattages and price points depending on what you want to mix.

This seems pretty good for the price but out of stock https://www.kmart.com.au/product/nutritional-pro-blender/216…

    • Thank you so much. After the lockdown is lifted I’ll go to the Good Guys and have a look at the Breville. I like that it can do fruit and vegetables.

Keep hunting around though, ebay shows $74.90 (not sure if Afterpay is applicable)

$32 was a definite buy when it came around posted on ozbargain, looks like the price won't be returning to $32 anytime soon unless you can find the clearance item stocked in Big W

        • I checked and sadly none of the two stores near me have it in stock. Trying to find it somewhere for a good price.

I have had Ninja IQ for over 6 years and it's as good as new. I use it for protein shakes with bananas and strawberries so not sure about carrots. Got a good deal on eBay and saw one on Catch a while back.

Thank you. I haven't heard of the model you mentioned.
