    My Samsung Blueray/5.1 speaker system does not connect to my TCL TV via ARC. Bluetooth and TOSLINK has audio delays. Used to work fine on the Samsung TV.

    Would a TCL Soundbar be better connection wise via ARC? Anyone using these with a TCL tv?

      My Samsung soundbar also stopped working with my TCL TV via ARC - I returned the soundbar and had it swapped for a new model which works fine. In my opinion it was a warranty issue hence why I requested refund/exchange.

      Samsung support were hopeless so went back direct to retailer.

      Same issue, samsung sound bar does not work with TCL. It was perfectly fine with the old Samsung TV.

      I must say I wasn't particularly impressed with the sound quality or sound stage. I expected at this price it would be "just better than speakers on TV" and it was the case.

        That's a shame. I've bought it already now… Haven't installed it yet though.
        Hopefully it's good enough for what I want.

        One thing a LOT of reviews say though is that it defaults to the TV preset, which is really plain, but when you set it to the movie preset, it really comes to life. Might be worth checking if you haven't already done so.

          yes I always have to switch OFF the vertical surround and change to TV mode whenever I want to listen to news channels…

            @ymmf: Been using it last night and a little bit today, and i'm very happy with it.

            Upgraded to FW3.0 straight away, and sound has been really good. Really does a good job widening the soundstage.

            Haven't managed to try any atmos content as I only have the HD netflix, and can't find a way to test it.

                @ymmf: Try turning off the soundbar, unplugging the hdmi and then turning it back on.

                The hdmi cable being plugged in somehow prevents the software update apparently.
