  • Is it legal? Kim's Convenience: Appa and Umma learn that selling illegal face cream has a downside.

    • Why would it be illegal? (please dont quote Kim's convenience as a reference lol)

      • The show is based in Canada: Some skin care contains 'medical ingredients' that can only be precribed by doctors, and therefore are not allowed in skincare. As an example, canadian skincare brand The Ordinary can't sell a line of their own products in Canada because of one ingredient.

In general though, getting drugs and medical tech approved in Canada is more difficult than elsewhere. Which is also why there are Canadian made covid19 tests that can't be used in Canada

        Australia is quite lax:
Australia does not have its own pharmacopoeia, nor are there any specific government-mandated guidelines on testing cosmetics for safety and stability. Instead, we often refer to the British Pharmacopoeia, some Therapeutic Goods Orders (TGOs) as well as industry best-practice guidelines (which are open to interpretation).

It's only illegal if expired selling it is also illegal

South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety is rseponsible for the regulation on safety standards of cosmetics. Sometimes South Korea has more restrictions on certain ingredients. Some time ago salicylic acid was only allowed at a maximum of 0.5% whereas it's 2% in most western countries (haven't checked if that's still the case).

Korean beauty products are generally quite gentle as quite a large number of the Korean population suffer from sensitive skin, but it always pays to research the ingredients before buying.

  • Worst checkout interface ever! Luckily the sale was good :)

Thanks. Ordered a year's supply of COSRX Aloe Soothing Sun Cream SPF50 PA+++ 50ml and MISSHA All-around Safe Block Aqua Sun Gel SPF50+ PA++++ 50ml. Was cheaper than Yesstyle including shipping.

You can stack the $3 signup credit with $5 coupon.
