Fedex to Auspost Parcel Collect

Hi,

I have ordered a tablet from an online seller and considering the fact that it is expensive stuff, I used Parcel Collect address on AusPost (have had the experience of local delivery dropping my expensive stuff to the wrong address). Now I have got the delivery confirmation and I have been advised of a FedEx delivery number.

Wondering how it will work? Anyone ever had the experience of facing a situation like this?

Thanks.

  • I think they have their own last mile delivery and will not be able to deliver to parcel collect addresses.
What’s happened to me in the past is that they’ll hold the parcel in a depot for collection. Sometimes, you’re able to enter alternate addresses online on their tracking page.

    • Thx!

I am gonna call and ask the same question.

    • Yea, just called fedex and the call center woman didn't know what is parcel collect (international outsourced support?). But as per her, they will notify me on phone when arrives and should be available for collection.

      Fingers crossed.

Can any delivery company deliver my parcel to a Parcel Collect address?
Parcel Collect is only available for items lodged with Australia Post or StarTrack. Other delivery companies can only deliver to a Post Office via your Parcel Collect address if they pay to Australia Post to lodge the parcels with our network.

I recently came across the same issue. FedEx just transferred the parcel to Australia Post, where it took an extra 3 days to reach my parcel locker. It'll get there.

Similar experience here, last month. My item took 4 days to travel to Australia, and more than one week to be transferred to Australia Post after my call to the customer service, which was not very responsive.

    • So they did the transfer after your call or is it part of their SOP?

      • It was a different issue, I had to change the delivery address.
