Very nice, the F6722 is a good rival to Seiko's 4R35, and Orient's fit and finish is very good for a "budget" brand. That being said, I wish Orient would take the time to get the ISP 6425 certification, although it's hardly a deal breaker.

  • If not for my SRPD53K, I would have gotten this.

  • Any experience dealing with Dutyfreeisland ? Is it similar to Jomashop.

I was looking at mechanical watches a while ago… And the names of Orient Ray, Kamasu and Mako came up. I liked Kamasu more… Any idea how they compare apart from size ?

    • I own a Kamasu and prefer the smaller size, so aside from that and aesthetics the specs are virtually identical between the two. Pick the one you like the look of if size isn't something you are worried about. Perhaps the 4 o'clock crown is something you are into from a wearability point of view? Aesthetically it's pretty garbage, particularly with the date window consuming an index, but that is all subjective. I wear my watches "above the knuckle" on my wrist so a 3 o'clock crown digging into my hand/wrist is not a concern for me

Ray and Mako (apart from the Mako III, which is branded the 'Kamasu' in the US, hence the common nomenclature) aren't sapphire crystal, so a bit of a deal breaker for me.

EDIT: I will say that the Kamasu crown knurling and general usability is the WORST. Hard to grip, and hard to use. This looks way better.

    • Duty free Island worked fine for me, but shipping took a while.
