Original Coupon Deal

Not quite as good at 15% off rather than 20% in that deal, but still pretty good value. I picked up a Queen quilt the other day with 15% off.

I'm sure those that received their quilts from the first deal can attest to the quality. I picked 500GSM in Melbourne, was tempted to pick 700GSM, as I feel the cold, but then I want to use all year round. I can always add a blanket for those extra cold nights.

  • Good price, but "Dry Clean Only" is the kicker here, so very much easier/better to be able to wash/refresh them at home IMHO.

    • there is a machine washable version i recall

    • +1

In the last deal I remember reading that the machine washable version was very noisy every time it was moved during sleep.

Another comment suggested also that "Dry Clean Only" really doesn't need to be adhered to.

I've washed many woolen items in my front loading washing machine (gentle), using wool wash soap on the wool wash cycle, and it's been fine.

So I'm not deterred by "Dry Clean Only" labels at all.

I've bought a Sheridan deluxe wool quilt double size for $50 at Catch last week, it is a 450gsm. Can confirm it is well made, light and soft and does need another blanket on top for the cold nights of Brisbane in the last week or so, so 500gsm would not be that much warmer I suppose for Melbourne winter.

bought from the last deal with this seller. . Quilt doesn't have any smell and is very toasty and comfy at 500gsm for Melbourne winter. Good quality with good price. would recommend.

  • 500gsm good for whole year?

    • Depending on how much you sweat though, I e.g. sweat a lot, so i would be quite sweaty if i went to bed with sweaters and in quilt, in summer kinda weather.

It is definitely not going to be suitable for those weathers of 35* C or above

The GSM is really an individual choice. Some people are warm sleepers, others get cold. So what might suit one person, might be too hot or too cold for another.

  • Sadly they use slowaway couriers aka aramex, just received mine from last deal nice quality though

    • Aramex isn't the best, but I'm not in any hurry in any case :)

I bought the 700gsm king a month or so ago. Comfortably sleep in this Canberra winter. No blankets or sheets.
