  • Looks to be straight from the cellar, so minimum order is 1 case of 6. This also gets your free delivery it seems.

A rating is only as good as the reviewers reputation

Mclaren Vale at least has a good rep, so can't be to bad

  • Aromas this, infusions that. I just want the cheapest dollar per litre grog to get me through the next month of lockdown!
Jokes aside, this bottle is hard to beat at $10 especially with free delivery for the case.

  • 3.8/3.9 on vivino puts it up there with a $15/$20 bottle of red.

    Seems decent

    • I wouldn't touch much under 4.0 to be honest, there's alot of junk ranked 3.6-3.8

      • At least in my experience, these ranking means jack shit. It's all about personal preference. My favourite red wine is the Edizione from Dans. While it costs significantly less than the penfold grange or even bin 389/407. I would personally go for Edizione over the penfold everytime.

        • Are you reffering to Farnese Edizione?

        • I think it comes down to what style of wine you enjoy.

I'm not a huge fan of blends, I find I enjoy Pinots the most.

      • Agreed, 4.0 would be par for a decent wine
3.9 though for $10 isn't too shabby though

Sam Kim seems to give most wines 90+ so jabba's rule should be applied. Irrespective it gets good drinker reviews and for $10 looks a good deal. If the first bottle tastes a bit young put the others away for a couple of years.

    • Yeah sam kim's ratings carry about as much weight as the supposed "dan murphy's wine panel"

      That being next to none

  • IMWO- Online reviews for anything these days arent worth a pinch of shit…

    • Or smelly fingers.

    • Nothing is worth a pinch of shit tbh

Tried this before. $10/bottle is a great price. Much nicer than koonunga hill imo

Possibly need to clear some storage space and with China's wine restrictions & ongoing lockdowns restricting restaurant dining, there is probably going to be more wine being discounted from a lot of producers.

  • Anyone got theirs yet? says dispatched about 5 days ago..

  • No sign of this.. almost 10 business days
