This is from their "standard i.e. lowest" Kamisen range, retails for about 800yen in Japan.

I think they chose to go with the text in the OP vs your version. Wouldn't sell very well otherwise I would think, but I'm no marketeer.

      800yen is currently $9.81. :)

I've had one before and found it on a "terrible" side.
I am no Sake pro, but it seems that anything decent starts from around $40/bottle.

    Happy to be proven wrong.

    • If you like your sake on the dry side…
Buy the 14 litre cask from here. (About $140 + $12 delivery last time)
      https://sun-masamune.com.au/go-shu-sake/

I've been through several and find it quite good.
I personally do not like their GoShu Blue, which is their most common one.
But all the rest are good but more expensive.

I just email the guy cause their website seems to hardly ever work right.

(And/or go there for a tour if you are passing Penrith someday and the lockdown ever finishes)

      • Yeah good idea. The website is terrible D:

        • This is a super common thing with Japanese companies for some reason lol

      • Sadly it appears Sun Masamune closed permanently this year.

        • :(((((((((((((

        • If I had known I would have ordered 10xcask to say farewell…

Sake is so expensive in Australia!!

    • Australian wine is so expensive in Japan.

  • whats a good one, smooth and easy to drink??

    • Kizakura Yamahai

Easy to drink and cheap too!

      • I personally found it to be quite terrible. :(

        • Really? how so? This Sake is a bit more on the sweet side, and relatively smooth. Are you a dry sake kind of person?

          • @zeomega: I didn't think it was smooth, nor sweet. I am terrible at explaining the taste but it's as if it was trying to be on a "citrus" side of things but it didn't quite hit it.
