  • my current favourite sudoku app. very customiseable with night mode so good for doing in bed when you're getting ready to fall asleep

  • Does it have XV Sudoku puzzles?

    • Just the usual IX ones.

Yea not worth the time one will be wasting on these

    • A lot of people would benefit from doing these more often…

  • This is really good, already wasted a few hours on this lol.

Would have bought it as I like sukodu and its really easy to use/has good layout though it feels like cheating at times

  • No freebie anymore

Thanks OP. I installed this and played with it and figured that I should give a bit of feedback. I reckon that I'm a competent player, but nowhere near an expert.

My current favourite sudoku app is "Sudoku 10'000 Free", so comparisons are relative to that. (As hinted in the name: it is free and comes with 10,000 puzzles built in.)

    The user interface is unpolished.

It gives no assistance if you get stuck and so no way to learn.

The puzzle ratings are weak and very variable. I attempted the first 20 "Expert" puzzles and completed about half within 5 minutes. The other half seem to be beyond my skill level. Out of interest I manually keyed some of them into my favourite app and asked it to solve them. Expert #3 was beyond its abilities, and another 2 used solving techniques way beyond my abilities.

Overall I was disappointed. I guess "Ultimate" set my expectations quite high and there is only one way to go from there. It is the all-too-common click-bait style hyperbole.

In summary: I consider my favourite app to be better value for money, and will not be persisting with this one. OP, thank you for the journey, it was interesting.
