  • Great price for the Victorinox bread knife. Easily the best bread knife I've come across too.

  • After 3 of these, I can say that the garlic crusher is good at crushing, even when not removing the garlic skin.. but it has a flaw in that the coating / paint is extremely easily scratched / damaged - the crushing part also scratches on the surround just when using normally. So in summary, good at crushing.. bad at lasting. Hoping no safety issues with the coating entering food?

  • Have this garlic press. Bloody love it, saves so much time not having to peel and dice garlic. Recommended.

How does the not peeling work? Never used a garlic press before. Dose the peel just stay behind and you fish it out after? I must say, peelings and mincing garlic isn't my favourite activity…

      • Yes, that's basically it. You just put in a whole clove (or 2 if smaller), crushing it squeezes out the garlic and you just pull out the flat skin afterwards, the tool can be used to push out any stubborn peel. Whole process takes a few seconds.

The main benefit of the one in OP is that it works with unpeeled garlic, the tool crushes the cloves and squeezes it out while keeping the skin behind.

Does the Kmart one do that?

      • Agreed. Have used and broken heaps of garlic presses.

I've even broken an older model Zyliss but it lasted way longer than any other I've tried and they sent me a knew one anyway. Meanwhile, I'd already bought an identical replacement regardless…

        • Agreed. Have used and broken heaps of garlic presses.

          Try the IKEA one…

      • i never peel garlic for garlic press

  • The Jamie Oliver garlic press $9 looks the same .

  • I do prefer the Joseph Joseph Helix Garlic Press
only $14 in Amazon AU https://www.amazon.com.au/Joseph-20102-Helix-Garlic-Stainles…

    • most people don't use helix garlic though

  • Just use a chef knife for bread. Cleaner cut.
