note that Computer alliance has it for this price as well -IE 249, BUT none in stock.

reviews seem decent but poopoo the price, saying there is better in that price range…but given were not buying at that price range and its 249 at catch, sounds like an awesome buy.
looks to be also cheaper than the lower GSP370 model for the most part!

seems you can use the 2.4 low lag wireless, and bluetooth at the same time (EG for phone calls)

so without further ado

    I have one of these.
    They're "ok"
the 7.1 surround sound is a bit "bathroom echoy" and if you're a glasses wearer they get painful to wear after a while.. they pin the arms of your specs to the side of your head quite tightly.

battery life on them is fantastic though, even though its bloody microUSB (not type C)

    • thanks for the feedback, there should be some settings for the sound though?

I got a pair for my bday… will be interested to see how they go… specially for this price which seems really good. dont think there is going to be anything else in this price range thats as good. glasses will be a pain if you need them though.

    Mic is crap right?

    • ath-g1wl has currently the best mic for a wireless headset.

    • +1

If it's the same one in the GSP 550 then it's outstanding.

    • +1

mic is decent according to reviews, has noise cancelling built in. not as good as a stand alone mics

but apparently once you turn off compression its decent.

their is a whole section of it here in this review:
      https://www.soundguys.com/sennheiser-gsp-670-review-32366/

"The Sennheiser GSP 670 offers a pretty standard microphone experience"

he has a sample of the mic on the webpage, sounds fine to me.

AKG K371 for under $180 (Amazon stock needs to roll back in) and get a desk mic, or Audeze Penrose @ $399 and go high quality wireless. Sennheiser closed backs are just not good bar maybe 1 or 2, and this isn't one of them.

    • yeah, no thanks i prefer an all in one - even if i have to sacrifice elsewhere. plenty of decent stand alone headsets out there.

and i'm not about to spend 400 bux on a headset.

I'll let you know when they arrive, but I think for a 250 dollar budget (I really didn't want to spend more than this, kinda wanted to spend under 200) i don't think I'm going to be able to get much better based on reviews and user feedback.

dont think they are worth it at 400 bux, but for 250 its a no brainer.

      • You're sacrificing pretty much everywhere here.

        • It’s worth noting that both the AKG and Audeze are incredibly unforgiving for larger ears.

  • RRP of $469, - but Pffft - who pays RRP

    If this doesn't describe OzB…

  • I got these last week.

    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/razer-barracuda-x-wireles…

They are comfortable and sound pretty great for the price point.
Would recommend the THX spatial app approx $30.

The next day after I got these I sold my Audiotechnica wired and EPOS wired sets.
Still have my old Arctis 7s for my lappy and would say they feel better on then those and sound comparable.

EDIT not to mention they work on everything but you have to plug the USB C dongle in. That includes the switch. Also has a USB A to C adaptor in the box.

    • I'd love to see them side by side.

how is the spacial sound on them?

      • It's pretty good from my experience playing Battlefield 4 again.
I should probably try some more games but that's all I am playing at the moment.
I haven't tried the Atmos profile yet as the THX app seams to work pretty well.

My old wired sets I would run them through a sound blaster x3 with Atmos over the top and the new cans sound pretty great in comparison.

    • I also recommend the Arctis 1 Wireless for Xbox.

Works on every system including PS5/Switch/SeriesS|X.

Sennheiser closed backs are just not good bar maybe 1 or 2

The RS range is actually great. I have personally used the RS170 and currently using RS175 and both are fantastic.

Owned these and really liked them, unfortunately not WFH/zoom friendly because they're fkn huge and make you look like a dork. Sound, mic and comfort wise they're great and a real steal at this price.

    MicroUSB. Ewwwwww

    • +1

      🤡

    • I was also taken back a bit when i saw the microsub and not usb c. they don't take very long to charge though, the 370s and 670s take about 30-60 minutes to charge back to near full. i'd still recommend the 370s over the 670s though as that near full charge is about 80+ hours of use with the 370s.

  • Great headset if you don’t play fps games . I tried them and the soundstage and imaging on them are just ok .

    I have the 670s and 370s:

I would recommend the 370s over this, 100 hour battery life, lasts me weeks between charges and takes all of 20-30 minutes to charge to near 100%, less lag also as it has a dongle for 2.4ghz so you don't need to worry about bluetooth delay. also works great with ps4/ps5

    • surprising, pretty sure the 670 has a 2.4ghz USB adaptor as well for the PS4/5 as well, just plug in and go.

      • +1

it doesn't last 100 hours though is my point

i can see the confusion from my first post, it was a bit rushed

If you use the low latency dongle, you get 14-16 hours, if you use bluetooth you get 20 hours from the 670 - if you want the longer battery life, you put up with the bluetooth latency

If you get the 370 you get 100 hours with the low latency dongle.

I use mine for work and play, so it's used for at least 8 hours sometimes 16 on a rainy day, and I still only find myself recharging it once a fortnight.

  • Expired,/sold out, back to 469… From wireless one, (which was always another option on the catch site at the 469 price)

What a bargain… at a great time for me too.

    Still 299 at ple.

    • What do you mean "from wireless one"

I thought this one you linked was definitely wireless?

I bought one and my tracking number has been duplicated with a 2018 delivery showing that it's already been delivered. Hopefully I dont run into any issues!

      • Wireless one is a shop.

There are none left from catch directly at the above price.

You can now only buy or from the shop wireless 1, for the rrp.

Mine arrived today, can't open it till my bday though.

Yeah, they are all wireless headsets.

        • Ahhhh got you, I was super confused :). I thought you were saying "The headphones are the wireless ones", then I got worried that I didn't buy wireless headphones.

Anyway, good to hear you got them quickly, hopefully I get mine soon. Thanks for the link, I've been waiting a long time to just pull the trigger on something and from what I've researched these are probably the best wireless headset you can get.

          • @Shunto: for the price…

            (fixed it for you)

(i think there are better quality headphones, and better quality mics - but if you want wireless all in one, for the price, I dont think you can beat these)
