  • Should be pretty straight forward to find out using WHOIS. For example:

    http://whois.domaintools.com/karekard.com.au

Do note that the ABN in the domain record might not be the true ABN of the registrant though. Recently a trademark owner emailed me asking about a domain that "I registered" — turns out someone used my ABN to register a domain with trademarked term.

  • Hello - Kare Kard here.
Our ABN can be obtained in our T&C's on our website or please feel free to email [email protected] if there are any concerns or you wish to contact us directly.

You can also search for all Australian ABN's here.

  • Company website is down. I have not received $1000 order placed a month ago. Be wary.

  • Hi wfdTamer,

  • Web site was down and any email sent to karekard addresses was returned. Phone number was (is) disconnected.

    Hi wfdTamer,
We have just emailed you directly. Our phone is connected as is the website however our customer service line is not available until Tuesday due to the Easter Break. We did experience a slight internet outage due to problems with our service provider which was out of our control, however that has been rectified now.

We have received your email and emailed you directly regarding your concerns. We will be available on email during the Easter break and will also be available on email during the Easter Break.

Thank you for contacting us with your concerns and please rest assured that we are prioritising this for you.
    Many thanks,
    Kare Kard

  • Ok, my order now received. Bit of a worry having no contact details when the domain & phone were down. This seems standard practise for most Australian companies though - no real person taking financial responsibility in case of collapse (not that I'm suggesting that happened in this case though).

I don't think Paypal covers a direct transaction like this. If the goods aren't delivered and the money is in the sellers account they can refund, but if money is gone they won't cover a non ebay transaction (I think).
