Best Cordless Floor Mop/Washer Suggestions

What’s the best CORDLESS mop/steam cleaner for tiled floors?
I’m looking at these:
1)Bissell spin wave
2) Bissell cross wave cordless (there’s also a max and a professional model?)
3) Karcher FC7 or fc3
4) any others
I already have a karcher steam cleaner but it’s corded and not great I think 3 something.
Thanks!

  • Here are some other options

    and this one

I personally own Bissell cross wave cordless and find it fairly good, long battery life, cleans all floor types including rug and does not require too much maintenance. Used to have Karcher FC5 which was very heavy, noisy and didn't do a good job of cleaning. They might have updated those shortcomings with FC3/FC7.

Also check out this guy's playlist for wet dry vaccum to give you some better ideas of what fits you, he does great in depth reviews of vaccums

    • Those tineco and hizero look good and the video reviews are great. Pricey though!
      Thanks for the advicr

      • They are expensive although if you only have hard floor, they save you from buying a vaccum.

  • If I were you I'd pick up a solid mop and bucket and watch some youtube tutorials!

    • Thanks so much! Haven’t thought of that, great great advice

  • I bought the BISSELL SpinWave Cordless about a month ago, so far so good. Impressed with comfort, easy to move around, no cords and how quickly can make our wood floors look clean again. Probably thought it would use more water and perhaps scrub a bit harder but haven't used the 'scrub' pads yet either

    • Yeah it’s my top choice so far. Do you know the difference between your model, max and professional?
      To me they’re identical haha

    • I think I'd be looking for one that vacuums up the water - that one looks like it just wets the floor and scrubs it.

I think the Karcher FC7 or the Tineco Floor One S3 look to be the best - but $799 is too much. Hopefully someone will discount them at some point.

      • As per my review below, the FC7 lacks the suction. Which is the biggest mistake in their design in my opinion. Between Timeco and Crosswave, I’d prefer Crosswave as it’s cheaper and can do rugs as well.

  • I got the Karcher FC7. Not impressed at all. I don’t think it’s good for the house. Maybe for commercial high traffic hard floor cleaning.
The biggest disadvantage is that it has no suction (extraction) AT ALL. Totally relies on the rollers to pick up stuff.
Leaves the floors wet and is nowhere near close to the advertised 2 minute dry time.
Wife spilled her cup of coffee the other day. I thought “that’s the perfect scenario to use the Karcher” as they advertise it exactly for those cases.. was disappointed with the result. Instead of neatly picking up the spill (as any vacuum like Crosswave would) it made a bigger mess by dragging the coffee all over the place. Not to mention the rollers are hard to clean by hand (unless you put them in a washing machine) so they are all brown and smell of coffee now.
Sent the roborock S7 to clean up the residue from the floors after the FC7 and even it’s simple mop attachment picked up so much more and was easy to wash clean afterwards.
The dirty water tank is not a tank at all, it’s not even sealed in any way. Just a big flat tray with a lid and huge gaps where the rollers are.. so if you accidentally bump the mop or move it too fast you end up spilling it.
In summary.. it might be good if you have very messy floors and wanna make them less messy.. but in my case, where I primarily bought it to keep the floors neat-freak-clean for my toddler to crawl and enjoy the space.. I can’t trust the Karcher for that. Your simple steam mop (with easy to wash/replace pads) would do better.
I hope I can return it to Harvey Norman 😏

    • Thanks for that report - I'll be avoiding the FC7.

I still like the look of the Tineco - there's some pretty positive reviews on youtube (e.g. VacuumWars).

But, it seems that Godfrey's have an exclusive on Tineco and Godfrey's get extremely bad reviews.

      • Yeah, overall I like the Tineco too. But as bad as Bissell’s service gets reviewed, at least you have replacement parts (rollers and tanks and all) and some chance for service. I don’t think Tineco has that yet as it seems exclusive to Godfreys only. If at least Amazon had spares, I’d think about it.

  • +1

Another update :) thankfully Harvey Norman accepted the fc7 and I got my Bissell Crosswave Max Professional. It’s everything I wanted and a bit more (in terms of carpet refresh).
Self cleaning on Bissell is waaaay better than the Karcher and the full clean up after that is a breeze too. I could not find out if I can machine wash the brush for Bissell but it looks like there’s no need for that. When using their solution, the brush already comes out clean and even smells fresh. That’s the huge difference that the vacuum suction makes.
Fc7 could have been so much better (and bulkier I guess) if they only added suction to it. But as it is, it’s just a mopping sweep, not a mopping vacuum.

    • Yeah I think the cross wave is the best reading all the reviews and watching the YouTube videos.
Is it true though you have to run the auto clean cycle after any use at all? Including for example a simple 1-2 min mop? That would be annoying!

How good is it at cleaning hard floors (tiles), my entire house is tiles and I just want something for it. My roborock does an amazing job with vacuuming.

      • You don’t have to do the clean after every 1-2 min use, I guess :) totally up to you. I usually do the self clean (couple times) at night time and take out the brush roll to dry overnight.
It’s good at getting the messes that roborock S7 wouldn’t pick up in a single pass. Although for dried on stuff you might need to pass more than a couple of times.
Also I couldn’t get it to do a streak-free finish, but it’s satisfying to see all the dirt that comes out of the dirty water tank. Roborock does a better finish overall, but leaves those tougher stains.
