[Switch] Amnesia Collection - $4.20 (Was $42) @ Nintendo eShop

870

I can't play horror games. Layers of Fear scared the sh*t out of me. I'll probably buy this.

Supposedly some of the scariest games ever made (although with diminishing returns?).

$4.20 for 3 games seems decent at the very least.

Thank you for this! Purchased them on sale many many years back on Steam and never got around to it. The Switch has gotten me to play many games I never bothered to on PC

As a hardcore horror movie fan I can honestly say this game scares the s#&t outta me. Definitely recommended at this price.

how’s it compared to Until Dawn?

      • +2 votes

Did Until Dawn actually frighten you? I am terrible when it comes to horror games as I mentioned in the post, but I was able to finish Until Dawn without issue

I can't play horror games either and really want to play Phasmophobia. Hopefully one day in VR too.

    How are the graphics?
For the price it's probably worth it no matter what!

The graphics are a little dated but the atmosphere is incredible once you get immersed. I still find myself coming back to play the game every so often just because of how interesting it is to explore the castle.

When you are constipated and psyllium husk just doesn't cut it, this series is guarantee to get you bowel moving and make you feel like a new person.

The first game kinda went through an 'initiation rite of passage' during my uni days on the dorm. The first couple of times each 'type' of scare happens is insane. The game was also pretty unique in the types of scares, and they aren't really 'jump scares' like games previously.

It was so scary that we took turns with four of us in a room, with hallway light on, and we still jumped and ran and refused to play, haha.

Not sure how it'll translate to joystick, and I'd recommend playing on TV, in a dark room, with speakers decently high, to get into the ambiance and feel of the game.

Is it 2 games or 3?
CDKeys have this deal for PC (Steam) but only 2 games

      I believe it is 3

First line of the description in the eShop page.

The collection contains three Amnesia titles: The Dark Descent, A Machine For Pigs, and Justine.

Thanks Ninternet, I'll be grabbing it.

Is it scary harndheld with headphones or even scary when connected on tv?

  •

do you have to play these in order?

    •

No, apparently they are not connected story wise. Someone on reddit recommended playing The Dark Descent last because it is the best one.
