Boost $150 SIM only 20GB data for a year?

I bought a boost $150 sim quite a few months ago when it was advertised as being able to activate with 80GB of Data with 12 month expiry. However, when trying to activate today it only gives 20GB of Data to use over 12 months which is a bit pathetic. Have they completely removed the option of activating with the 80GB plan that the SIMs were advertised with on seller sites?

Have not been able to get in touch with them over the weekend.

From the Boost website, https://boost.com.au/pages/prepaid-plans , I can't see any $150/yr plans currently available. My $150/yr plan has given me 80gb on renewal. I'd suggest you contact support.

  • They aren't available. However, if you recharge your current offer, you'll still get the "Anytime Plus" plan of 150/yr for 80gb.

Last year, I had the same issue and couldn't get on the plan I wanted for my son's phone. I bought 3x $50 recharges from the supermarket. Got on the horn and support sorted it out for me.

Give it a few days, it'll update to 80GB. It happened to my dad a few months ago after he finally got round to activating the starter kit.

  • Otherwise… Give them a call. They could manually add it for you (but ymmv depending on who picks up so I've heard)

  • Have they completely removed the option of activating with the 80GB plan that the SIMs were advertised with on seller sites?

Yes for new plans….. Only RENEWALS can access the old $150/yr plan.

    • Boost is killing the $150 per year plan from Oct this year for everyone including existing users: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/652368

      • Thanks…. At the time this comment was made, Boost wasn't killing it…. But yes, its dead now.

        • it is sad to see one of the most popular plan disappear…

You get 20 GB when you activate. Later, you will get 60gb bonus on second Friday automatically!

This additional credit will be applied AUTOMATICALLY on the second Friday after the initial activation, at which time the customer will receive a text message notifying them of its completion.
