Are people saying preordering and going to pick up doesn't work now? Damn I had done that as earlier on people were saying it does work. Otherwise I would have considered just going last night to pick it up.
confirmed it says it has expired, I tapped on 'I'm already here' in the app within 2 hours of ordering and nope
You can only click on " I am here" once you are near the store right? I have never been able to click on it and have it work till i am near the store. Damn

I ordered mine about 730am and just picked it up. Worked all good for me.

Because it was 1am when i ordered it. But i went and picked it up today anyway, it worked for me.

Claimed last night too, and got same error when I pressed "I'm already here" button, collecting in restaurant. But then I tried my luck with drive-through, and it went through :)

I got the same message when I selected pick up in store, but then when I selected "drivethrough" instead of pick up in store it actually worked!
Pre-ordered at 1:30am. At the store now 10:45am, unable to pick up as not in cart anymore.
You went to the store and the order was on your phone still asking to check in and when you checked in, it said not in cart anymore?
Yeah, endless loop. I’ve still got an order number etc, just won’t let you confirm it.
That happened to me with previous free offer. that's when staff member said only works for two hours? they don't charge your credit card until you check in so cancelling any order for them is easy.
@marketingpolice: Drive thru might work? Since a screen prompts saying to tell your order code to the speaker box?
I'm guessing I'll have that problem too. I'll probably get one of the other deals in the app anyway.
@Miss B: I don’t think the order has been “cancelled” per se, rather the item has been removed from the menu so you can’t confirm it.
I’m walking home to get my car to try drive thru lol. I needed to walk to the post office anyway, and I forgot a passport sized photo so have to go back in a few mins anyway.

so I went and pre-order at around 8:30, had it on my cart just one click away "I am here"… went up to maccas and click "bang" promotion finished etc.. went up to the front desk (last attempt b4 buying the $5 deal) and they actually can look up my order from this morning and got my Big Mac woohoo! Good luck and hopefully the store you've nominated didn't cancel the morning "preorder"!
Ordered at 8am. Just went to pick it up via drive through and when tapped I’m here, I accidentally tapped eat in and my ordered got cancelled with a message about the promotion not available. But somehow managed to back to the screen and tapped drive through, and order got confirmed.

Had it in the app from last night with a small fries (normal price). Come lunch time today went to the drive thru and tapped on "I'm at the drive thru" option. Had the pick-up code but it didn't show up on their ordering system so they have both the Big Mac and small fries to me for free: https://ibb.co/16NnH6S

Preordered at 3am, tried drive thru and insisted and got one for free. It doesn’t show up on their systems. So the preordering says it’s not available anymore. You can get one if you beg them basically. But yeah thanks OP. At least tried and sort of succeeded.
same scenario for me too. didnt show up in system! so manager approved it after I insisted
Honestly though Maccas food is average but the service is usually pretty good. It’s nice they did it.
