Best Value for Money Monitor Purely for Work from Home - Budget $250

Hello fellow wise OzBargainers, I have come across so many really tempting deals on monitors of late and at the end it's a problem of plenty. Work from home has made me look at setting up a very compact home office nook.

I want a monitor that I will use for my research work (documents, spreadsheets and a lot of browsing). I am limited to a budget of around $250. From my limited knowledge an ideal monitor for my purpose would be an IPS screen with as high as resolution as possible. I would love reccos on what would be some suitable options that deliver the best bang for buck.

  • 24 inch or 27 inch? Do you need height adjustments?

    • While I am looking at 27 I am not sure whether it would be overkill and yes ideally there should be some kind of height adjustments

If you can stretch your budget a bit, I would recommend an AOC 31.5" 1440p monitor

Got one for wife's office setup. Very nice

    $329 delivered at the moment.

    • Oh great! Will look it up. Any suggestions on links to purchase from ?

@peeppeep: There's a Umart at Broadway; should be able to Click and Collect and have the monitor delivered there if not in stock

Agree, 32 inch at 1440p is the way to go for work. Changed my life when I got one. 1440p will get you a lot more screen area

27 inch at 1440p is also OK, but the text is quite small

      • Do you mind elaborating on the comment, “changed your life”? Keen to get a better sense of the benefit, could be quite relevant for my home office environment of lots of spreadsheets and browser based crm

I got this on sale for $200 a few months back and it's been perfect for home office.
