Cheap smartphone from brick and mortar shop (not online). Need it by tomorrow.

So my brand-new iPhone 4S has SIM failure issues. No time to get to the Apple store and Apple have shipped out an advanced replacement due in on Fri or next Monday.

But I'm travelling for work Fri-Sun and need a basic cheapie smartphone (Android OK). $100-200.

Need to be half-decent and needs to be picked up from a local store (Big W, Allphones etc).

SIM is On Optus network.

Thanks!

    OPTUS as well

  • Thanks mate.

Might pick up an X3 (but wonder how long $10 unlock will take).

    X1 can't be found easily I reckon.

    • It's not a $10 unlock, more like $13 or $14 and it will take a few days

      • That was last week when i looked. Have inally gotten around to ordering it tonight and theexchange rate was far kinder - $11.60

I went into a Vodafone store and bought the HTC Explorer for $120 (it's $116 from the website, but it was urgent). It's a great phone, you would not believe how smooth it is due to the optimized UI. Plus despite what the packaging says, it's a free unlock from the Vodafone Online unlock since all HTC phones are software-locked and not hardware-locked.

  • for oweek at university wollongong they hve the galaxy ace on optus for 140. think it might end tomorrow though. Other Uni Oweek might have similar deal maybe…
