SoundPEATS Truengine 3 SE aptX Issue

Anybody have issue with aptX on this earphone?

I can't get it to connected with aptX even enabled it in developer options Qualcomm aptX Adaptive audio.

Sound will play through the phone speaker instead, have to use SBS

My phone is the TCL Plex android 10.

weird, usually only supported codecs are enabled in dev options and unsupported ones (either phone or headphone) will be greyed out
you can try manually audio routing with an app (may be present in dev options, but not sure)
seems your both devices support aptX though

check whether it is get connected as an A2DP device with stereo audio, if you connect it as a headset (with mic) with will use lower mono audio codec anyway

  • When enable aptX in bluetooth connection, in developer mode, audio codec, it said streaming Qualcomm aptX adaptive audio. It can recognize but sound came out from the phone speaker.

I have only enable media audio and Qualcomm aptX in bluetooth.

What do you mean "check whether it is get connected as an A2DP device with stereo audio" ?

  • Found the only way to get it to work with aptX, after enabled aptX adaptive audio on bluetooth and in developer option it will auto set to the same aptX adaptive audio and I have to manually change it to aptX audio (without adaptive) and it will play through the earphone and it will stay until next bluetooth connection.

According to spec SE 3 it is not aptX adaptive but for some reason my phone think it is aptX adaptive, I think that is the problem and why I manually change it to non adaptive and it works.

    Very strange.

  • Answer from Soundpeats said that my phone Snapdragon Chip 675 doesn't support aptX adaptive audio but Truengine 3 SE support that is why even bluetooth connected with aptX adaptive audio my phone couldn't play it. I have to select aptX audio from developer option if I want aptX audio, otherwise I have to disable aptX on bluetooth and let it use SBC.

I am not 100% sure that is correct SD 675 doesn't support aptX adaptive but qualcomm spec said supported, may be just my phone doesn't support not 3 SE
