Problems Receiving iPhone Messages on Android Nokia

Hey guys

I set up a Nokia 1.4 for my mother to use. All is good except it seems to not receive picture messages sent from iPhones.

I did some googling and it said that it's likely because she's been an iPhone user and it's still trying to send them as iMessage.

Anyway as advised I went to the apple site to deregister her number but it's saying it's not a registered apple number.

So then. What's causing it? The phone receives pic msgs from Android but not Apple 😐

Any advice appreciated

    You need to deregister her from iMessage, as iPhones will think they are sending via iMessage.

    did you use the +61 for her phone number when you were in the imessage site

    Hey all,

    I reconfigured the MMS settings for Telstra and now it's working properly. No idea why android msgs got through and apple didn't.

    But anyway. Receiving all messages now

    My partner and I are having a similar issue on Galaxy S10e and Realme 6.
    I can receive picture MMS from everyone but if it comes from iPhone the resolution is super low.
    Not registered with iMessage.

      I went to the Telstra help pages about how to set up the picture message MMS settings. So either do that with your current carrier or call their tech support. :)
