100 pcs needed. help me find a chair for less than $40 each.

morning all,

we are changing all the chairs inside of our small church, and we would need 100pcs.

anything that is fix type (not folding chairs) with cushion and decent looking but not too expensive, as our budget is about $40 each.

if you find some bargains around your area, please let me know.

we are based on melbourne.

thank you guys for your help.

Keep the old chairs and donate the money?

      lamer!

    • You're right, my goodness, how extravagant. CHAIRS. What's next, slaves to peel their grapes?

Given that they're posting to OzBargain in an effort to keep costs as low as possible, I doubt this is a frivolous decision.

  • yup.. thats my suggestion.. but i guess they would only spend on new chairs if the old ones are deemed unsafe or unusable =)

  • Thanks for your views.
Currently our old chairs was bought 2nd hand about 7years ago (and we dont have an idea how old it was used when we bought it), factoring the wear and tear, so unfortunately the old chairs have already met its end.

Over the past years we have raised some funds to finally buy new ones.

Im just posting hoping someone can help us find a bargain?thanks

I am unsure about that kind of quantity, but there is often good stuff at the ex-government places…

Worth a phonecall - see if they have a bunch of matching chairs, for example like used around conference tables. You might be lucky to be in the right place at the right time to pick up something like ex-Centrelink vistors' chairs…

    • I was concerned about the quality of chair you might get for $40 artxty, but this is a fantastic solution.

Govt departments pay a mint for furniture, because it's built to last.

  • thanks all, i'll try this on monday, cheers.
