I'm looking for a desk chair. I've looked through other forum requests but all seem to be expired. Looking for a desk chair I won't have crippling back pain after a couple hours.
I've looked in Ikea and really liked the Alefjall but was sold out, and I live in Adelaide if that helps.
If anyone could point me in the direction of a decent looking/feeling chair I'd appreciate very much.
I've had the IKEA Markus and Jarfvjallet - both very comfortable.
I'd recommend getting a high back chair with headrest for optimal posture as it gives you feedback (head on headrest) for your posture. Lots of issues are driven by the forward head posture associated with desk work, and prolonged sitting without breaks.
Conversely, if you don't already have a sit/stand desk, then this would likely be as good an (if not a better) investment than a chair as the alternating positions will assist with back pain.
Following, got a $130 ish gaming chair and it was utter shit.
Pity delivery to me from ikea is $199 :(
I used Costco mesh chair. Try it out, if you are not happy you can always return.
