  • I just wished they have been more forthcoming about the $25 limit from the start, rather than cancelling all placed orders with more than $25 value.
    Still a good value to try stuff out with the $25 code though, especially considering they included free postage

      It was a different offer intially, and it seemed to get grossly taken advantage of.
      They then changed the offer to $25 off. Check the offer listing revisions.

      I'd be maybe a bummed out too if I got a $500 order placed for free, then it was cancelled… But I'd be more surprised if it actually went through!
      $25 off your first order (of any value) is still an incredibly generous offer though IMO.

    Hi everyone - Seb here again from Timely. I wanted to put a quick post here to answer some questions from the feed so far:

    • Firstly, thanks to everyone for your orders - it's been great to see so many orders come through! I know some people have suggested that this has been some kind of publicity stunt, but we've actually been giving away free coffee since we first opened our roastery over 3 years ago. This is just the first time it's made it to the OzBargain community. We do it because we love to be generous, we love to share our coffee with people, and we feel that the best way to see if you like Timely is to try it for yourself.

    • For anyone who's worried that this is a way for us to get rid of stale coffee, I can assure you that this is not the case. We're roasting every day to keep things fresh, and on the rare occasion that we do have coffee about to go to waste, we either compost it, donate it, or find some other way to keep it out of the landfill.

    • Today we noticed that we were running low on some lines of coffees and unfortunately we had to cancel some orders. Out of almost 1000 orders so far, we've cancelled 30 due to insufficient stock. Otherwise, all orders will be fulfilled as ordered, even those ordered before we updated the offer to $25 off. For anyone whose orders we've had to cancel, we've already sent out new discount codes to use on the online store if they would like to order again from coffees we have in stock. If you received a cancellation email but no discount code, please send me an email at [email protected] and I'll get on it straight away. We hate to cancel orders when we run out, but we're committed to making it right whenever we can.

    • For those asking about serving our coffee with or without milk, please see our YouTube video "Ask Timely: How Do You Roast Your Micro-Lots?" on our channel where I cover this in a bit of detail.

    • And one more thing: this offer is still open and valid for $25 off your first order when you sign up for the newsletter. And people who are signed up to the newsletter receive 10% discount codes every time they place an order. So those who are signed up to the newsletter will receive regular discount codes, early notice of new sales coming out (we do 50% off sales every few months), and early access to new release coffees.

    I also have to say that the interactions I've had so far with the OzBargain community have been overwhelmingly positive. Thanks for all your support, and keep an eye out for more deals in the future! Seb.

    • Can vouch for Seb and Timely. Ordered ground beans from Laika as they were then known maybe 18 months ago and they were delivered unground. Personally redelivered the order (here in Perth) within hours of notifying them of the error along with a $50 voucher “apology”. These guys are generous and their coffee great too.

    Hi everyone - Seb here again from Timely, with another quick update. This past 2 weeks we've had more orders in than we could have hoped for. We're so happy to see boxes of Timely heading out all over Australia. However, given the volume of orders we're sending out, we're noticing there have been some delays. We're roasting, packing, and dispatching as quickly as possible, but there's still a limit to the number of parcels we can send out each day. And on top of this, Australia Post is struggling to keep up with the influx of parcels. So we need to make some changes. We'll be adjusting the offer to "50% off your next order when you sign up to the newsletter". We are still honouring all orders that have been received, but please don't be surprised if your order takes a few more days than normal to be shipped out. If you'd prefer to cancel your order because you don't want to wait, you can do so from your original order confirmation email.

    I have appreciated everyone's patience so far as we continue to ship out record numbers of packages. We love to be generous with our coffee, and we're glad so many people are receiving orders for free. If this is the case for you, and you're waiting for your free order to reach you, please know that we will get to your order as soon as humanly possible.

  • Coffee arrived today after being told it's been delayed in shipment, comes with an Aug 18 roast date, a handwritten thank you note and a bookmark which is a very nice touch :)

    Haven't even tried the Timely One yet but already feel like this is a company I'd gladly give business too
