PAYDAY 2 is now free to play until the 15th of August. The full game you can still buy, now 50% off at $7.25. Very fun game to play with friends.

PAYDAY 2 is an action-packed, four-player co-op shooter that once again lets gamers don the masks of the original PAYDAY crew - Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains - as they descend on Washington DC for an epic crime spree.

Rob Banks, Get Paid – Players must choose their crew carefully, because when the job goes down they will need the right mix of skills on their side.

CRIMENET – The dynamic contract database lets gamers pick and choose from available jobs by connecting with local contacts such as Vlad the Ukrainian, shady politician "The Elephant", and South American drug trafficker Hector, all with their own agenda and best interests in mind.

PAYDAY Gunplay and Mechanics on a New Level – Firing weapons and zip tying civilians never felt so good.

  Has this game actually improved? Mind you I played this originally on PS3 and it was a buggy mess.

    Oh c'mon, it's perfectly normal for drills to go invisible and be unrepairable, or teammates going down and the square button just doesn't seem to work ;-)

    I haven't played it in many many years, but they took care of 95% of the bullshit before I left, I imagine it's all steady now.

    The PC version is almost an entirely different game at this point, PS3 (and pretty much every console version, I'd imagine) were abandoned not long after release. PC is probably somewhere around 180 updates ahead. I'd say it's worth giving a shot on PC, just be aware there's a bit of a learning curve with new skill trees/perk decks. Very fun with friends (when it isn't crashing half way into an hour long heist on Death Sentence difficulty because of some buggy mod you installed) :)

  Absolutely stellar game, Platinumed it on Ps3 and Ps4, had a blast.

  Would have been a lot more fun if I had mates at the time who played it too. There's a lot more content since I played as well, although you'll end up buying the other edition of Payday 2 as you won't have access to tones of missions on the standalone.

  If you're into vr it's got good support and crossplay with regular players. For the price it's not a bad deal as far as vr titles go.
