I've seen a few listings on eBay au & Aliexpress where Xiaomi items are sold with an Aus plug. Do Xiaomi make products with proper Aus plugs or are they actually those upside down Chinese plugs where the fit is also slightly different?

Further to this, here is a PSU from a TP-Link Voice adapter I purchased on Ebay. 2 major issues that made me not trust the device. I asked Ebay to step in, and a full refund was issued. I disposed of the device.
Not really sure, but I have received goods where the plugs are non-insulated. Insulated Pins have been mandatory since 2005, which according to this sheet, upside down pins with an earth are illegal. This being the case, provide this info to the seller, and you should be entitled to a full refund.. They will offer a partial refund, because PSU's are a dime a dozen in Australia….Not.
Then threaten to escalate with Ebay, Ali, Amazon BG etc
