GO / 28 degrees Mastercard price protection on Telstra outright

Anyone have had any experience claiming price protection insurance on a Telstra Samsung outright purchased mobile against a standard Australian retailer's (non-telstra) discounted price?
While essentially usually the same device, does latitude allow such claim or would deem the model number different?

Thanks

    Doesn’t Telstra have a price protection ?

    • 7 days vs 12 months

  • What did Latitude say when you asked them?

I haven't claimed this but have recently claimed Telstra's outright price against JB Hifi, Telstra's had some pretty epic outright deals on iPhone recently.

It would all depend on how the product is advertised on the Telstra site. If it's just "Samsung Galaxy s21 128gb" then you'd be fine. It the receipt says Samsung S21 S21-128GB-T while you're matching against a S21-128GB-G they could try to deny it.

This becomes even more tricky if you're trying to match against Kogan or some other grey market importer.

I have successfully claimed a phone purchased from OW against an outright promotion from Telstra. No issues at all.
