NSW Health Vaccination Portal Extremely Annoying to Use

I know everyone is trying to book vaccines etc.

I just find the NSW Health Vaccination Portal to be extremely annoying to use.

Since I live in Sydney, and wanted Pfizer… I went onto the website and register my details… at first it wouldn't recognise my Medicare card took a good 20 minutes for me to just leave out Medicare details and have to "edit" details later.

Problem is… it's obviously extremely hard to book anywhere as you need to find time for BOTH appointments… that's fair enough… it took about 2-3 hours and I booked Wollongong for start of September… I don't really want to go to Wollongong twice so have been actively trying to find other appointments.

Actual problem I'm having is… they let you select the date for "dose 1"… below that it says… "There's no need to reschedule your Second dose of Pfizer (Thu, Sep 30, 2021 at Wollongong Vaccination Clinic Pfize…) unless you'd like to change its site."

I'm fine with just going to Wollongong once instead of twice… but even though it says I don't need to reschedule, I can't submit…

Has anyone found a workaround that? Or is it just a glitch?

    The workaround is simple! Go get AZ, it's everywhere

    Use https://covidqueue.com/ on your pc, select Pfizer, leave the page open.

    Register to whatever local vaccine hub (eg https://vaccination.slhd.nsw.gov.au/vc/SydneyOlympicPark/2) on another tab. You will go no further (you get one dose only).

    Leave the booking page open (the one with dates).

    Camp in front of pc and wait covidqueue.com page to ring twice (for 2 doses).

    On the booking page, press F5 as fast as you can. New dates you haven't seen before will shows up. Book it.

      Yeah I tried that… a lot of people with the same idea

      That’s how I got the initial appointment…

      But question is why is the website so annoying to use

        What did you expect? The site is coded like crap,.the site is overrun and the nsw govt. response is crap and the federal govt stuffed up acquaistion

        and you expected the site to work…

        Tried to reschedule it for this week (Scumo said so) as I'm an essential worker. No dice.

        They should have separated the booking link from general public. Early priority pfizer my @ss.
