Alarm Clock for Client, Needs to Be Simple to Operate

I have a client at work (disability support) who needs a new alarm clock. He needs it to be black casing and red writing with dimable writing.

It doesn't need radio or any cool features just needs to work with no complicated steps.

Searching for alarm clock on eBay allows a really quick visual search to scroll through and find possibilities.

Yeh I've been doing this but that doesn't tell me if it's easy to operate. His liquid ears one from big w he could not use.

I'm more asking for people who have useful suggestions to comment ;) lol couldn't resist giving it back man, sorry 😂

      • So is the black and red more important than ease for use?

I think 'easy to operate' is subjective, what is easy to one person may not be easy to another. The Big W Liquid Ears model looks simple as to operate, but I understand your client may struggle nonetheless. How can you judge 'easy to operate' without your client using it themselves?

I guess, the liquid ears one we couldn't tell if the alarm was off or on 😂

Look for one that automatically sets the time from the radio signals. Yes it is a thing.

Also look at the detail around setting a alarm, if this is something they need to do.

I got my folks one that auto sets the time over the air, they love it!

    • Would you have a link to it?

Would the Lenovo Smart Clock work? It's grey but you can have red text. It looks fancy but it's easy to use - just say what time you need the alarm to be, no need to fiddle with little buttons. The time is always correct. It does need wifi though.

    • Or a google home

      • My client has SIM data via phone and iPad no internet per say. Can it work no WiFi if it was set up with phone data?

        • Unfortunately it needs to be connected to wifi to work. It would work if the hotspot on the iPad was left on though.

  • Get a rooster. Just need to feed it. Will go off every morning without fail.
