I just received an email from Robins Kitchen, stating in massive letters "Everything Half Price", with a relatively small disclaimer underneath saying 'Selected Items Only'.
While I like the store enough to sign up to their newsletter, and just don't feel like they are being honest.
Robins / HOME are the rugs a million of the kitchen utensils world. Just perpetually on closing down/ store clearance sales.
Actually states “Everything half price in this sale”. So if the item is in the sale, it’s half price.
Our local one is always plastered with "Closing Down, 70% off" for the past 3 years. Still operating till this day.
Each and every sale buys them enough runway to stay open just that much longer.
Stacks Warehouse on Parra Road in Sydney was closing down sale for best part of 10yrs…
To the point the law was questioned in NSW Parliament after either Alan Jones or John Laws had a go at it on talk back radio…
Read the fine print, often says "for stocktake" - true if they close down each night and do a count of some stock!
That store marketing is utter garbage. When you are literally always having a 'sale' its no longer a sale.
i shop elsewhere because i despise this place
On Sale is bog standard price….even the store/company wouldn't balance it's books with futures sales on 'retail price'.
