The original WHO Advice to use Sanitiser and cleaning products with min 70% alcohol is in our opinion outdated advice.
Most people are not aware that even 80% ethanol (alcohol) alone does not kill covid. We lab tested just pure 80% ethanol and distilled water and it DOES NOT KILL COVID. (test results available on request) and the WHO formula must have Hydrogen peroxide in it to work which means Ethanol is not the active ingredient that kills covid nor is hydrogen peroxide by itself.
Kill time is VERY important also as lets face it, virtually no one sprays a surface and then waits 10 mins (the time it takes for most sanitisers and surface sprays who have a "Kills Covid Claim" to kill covid)

          The TGA requires us to provide them the proof of our kills covid claim before we can make the claim it kills Covid in 90 seconds. This is why the product is ARTG listed for the claim it kills covid 19 in less than 90 seconds and this is also why you don't see many other products advertising this claim. Its a a very very serious offence to advertise a kills covid claim with out it being ARTG listed for that claim.

It is a very serious offence in Australian to advertise a claim such as that it kills covid in under 90 seconds with having this claim listed and evidence which proves the claim to the TGA. So that is why you see very very few companies who can make a claim like this.

      ViroCLEAR Should be used as a surface spray disinfectant Pfizer (I assume you are referring to the vaccine).
      As you can still catch /carry / transmit the virus even after you have had both shots you should still be using Viroclear for cleaning and disinfecting.

    Anti microbial is certainly the way to go. They’re much safer and effective at sanitising a space as they offer residual protection.
    But I’ve never heard of these guys. I use DuroKleen and Koh Protect at home.

      I guess your Aunty saw it was Listed with the TGA and trusted in their ability to review the evidence summited that it did infact Kill Covid in 90 seconds approved the Kills covid claim.

        Just my personal opinion. I think it's nonsense. For a host of reasons. Gullible people start to think COVID-19 is all around them, they'll use it in there homes and are just wasting their money when soap and water will do the same job. I live in a town of near 300k people, no active cases - no wastewater detection. I could only at best put up a case for people in Sydney to buy into this, and that's being generous.
        Ross Macdougald himself talked about COVID-19 being live on a shipping trolley or similar surface for 10 minutes. Claims this product brings that time down to 90 seconds. So if the product, under all best possible conditions and assuming the incredibly unlikely event of surface transmission - you save yourself 8 and a half minutes.
        What does a standard wipe at the supermarket do to the virus? There must be some net benefit.
        Can't recall how many times I've heard about surface transmission causing the problem Australia is now in. All seems to be exposure to air particles and the like, household contacts etc where a spray isn't going to be the difference between getting it off someone that's covid positive in your household. Good luck regardless.

          It is not full of dangerous chemicals and it Kills covid in less than 90 seconds. Unless the Covid kill claim is stated then most likely takes 10minutes or more. Who has time to wipe down the table at the food court and wait 10 minutes before eating their lunch?

    It's worth noting that this product is actually authorised by the TGA to make claims about COVID-19 which presumably requires them to provide lab results to the TGA:

      yeah but in reality an anti bacterial wipe is going to have an impact on COVID-19 virus sitting on you bench isn't it. If you said something positive about a wipe and it's impact to COVID-19, you'd be correct and you could get away with claiming something as lame as that.

        @seamonkey you are incorrect. The TGA is extremely strict on Kills covid claims and rightfully so. They don't just hand them out because some thing might have and an effect..

        True, I was just sceptical and wanted to see if they were even permitted to make the 'kills COVID' claim because quite a few businesses have been pinged by the TGA over the past year for making spurious claims that weren't proven. Was surprised to see it was actually approved by the TGA to make those claims so thought that was worth sharing.
