Looks like a real estate agent / car salesman watch…

      Tony Abbott has one.

        Probably has a fossil/diesel too

        that's me out

  • Does anybody know if the straps are replaceable? I can't do leather and/or silicon since allergies.

    • I’d also like to know. Same issue.

    • Would be, just get the same width bracelet. Easy to e-mail starbuy too.

    • +2

Definitely. Takes 22mm straps it looks like. Alternatively look at Lunar Pilot, excellent watch and history.

PS: can recommend Sydney Strap Co, had two great orders from there.

I bought a watch with a leather band from Starbuy and the loops only lasted a year

Leather straps like high school watches
Good getting a bracelet, rubber or something sustainable these days. funny the amount of diving styled watches you see with leather bands. Either way there are pretty good cheap ones on AliExpress if you do some research

        • funny the amount of diving styled watches you see with leather bands.

'cos most of them end up on the wrists of desk divers ;)

@tdw: True, a lot will never see the ocean, just think leather would take a while to dry even if you jumped in the pool or shower. Not hating, as the diver's style is great to dress up or down, just recommend bracelet or rubber strap.

What does that have to do with starbuy? Starbuy is not a brand of watch.

Nothing good about this one. Or your 'fashion watch', no offence

      • +1

Cheers, just as I thought, decent discount so that's fair, but shouldn't pay the RRP for those specs (had a quick look)

If the Chronograph is working, that seems okay for a Daytona copy tbh.

        • It works, not that I'd personally ever use it

Correct, it's a homage and has got a seiko meca-quartz vk63 movement, sapphire crystal, chrome bezel, 100m water resistance and a quality stainless bracelet. Usually you'll miss out on good superlumimova and anti reflective coatings etc.

Not saying it's perfect but an example of what is out there these days. No need to pay 400-500$ for a fashion watch these days.

Bulova, sorry for my ignorance, but haven't even heard of this watch brand.

An old (1875) and once semi-aspirational American brand, now owned by Citizen

They do have some good history, they're legitimate.

    • +1

They've had a watch on the moon.

    • Their 1970s LED driving watches were iconic and probably worth a few bucks nowadays.

  • Whenever I see this brand, I think of the kind of watch that a Bulgarian drug dealer would wear. In one word, gaudy.
