  • How do these work on sensitive areas - asking for a friend.

    • Just like honda mower on tall grass

      Back, sack and crack?

  • Got it for the wife, she used it on her legs and underarms. Found it took forever and was constantly missed spots. She no longer uses it and is back to rasors.

    • Yeah, we tested a few. The technology is strange. Most hair grew back. My first try was on my side burns. Wow it lasted for years but then the body rebelled and further use has little effect. Anyone else out here with experience?

  • I used this or another Phillips one similar. I think it works well on hairs that stick up perpendicularly to the skin so that the follicle is maximally exposed to the laser. For other hairs that go a bit diagonally like the inner leg it doesn't work as well because the follicle isn't exposed well. I have permanent hairless areas because of this. This can be helped a little by stretching the skin across a bit to improve the angle. It's extremely hard to use on brows because it requires flat flesh before the laser's charge is applied. It's okay on sensitive areas providing the follicle's angle is alright - the device should have varying intensity but I never use less than the highest setting.

The FDA (USA) considers this an indirect hair removal procedure because it's not deliberate to each hair, rather covers a whole area with an unknown success rate. Electrolysis hair removal is considered direct and it is precise, so would be preferred for monobrows and uneven surfaces
